I would like to say that Lakeside becomes number 1 because of professional principal, counselor, teachers who really care and love students. My child has grown up a lot with great education and love from teachers. Thank you so much.

Lakeside has been an amazing school for my kids. The teachers, administration and staff truly care about the students and want them to succeed. If a student needs assistance to get on the right level they are very accomodating and provide additional time and services. In the years that my kids have been there the school as a whole has gone above and beyond. Students receive quality instruction in a safe and nurturing environment.

Lakeside Elementary is a hidden gem in Pembroke Pines. The dual language program provides a strong educational foundation in English and Spanish. Kindergarteners don’t need to speak Spanish to start in the program. They just need to be prepared for kindergarten to be eligible. My son is in fifth grade now, and he has not complained about having to go to school once! His teachers have been truly exceptional, including the specials teachers. The new principal, Dr. Rodriguez, and AP, Ms Leal, have a clear vision for the school and are working hard to instill GRIT in all the little scholars. Finally, the PTA is very active and enthusiastic at Lakeside. Strongly recommend!

Ever since the new principal arrived, this school has headed downhill. Unfortunately, all he cares about is optics and numbers, regardless of what it takes to get those numbers. Reformulating their dual language program to ensure only already Spanish speaking children are in it is one way in which those numbers will be skewed to show “success”. If your child struggles in any way, be prepared to be pushed aside and have your child treated with complete apathy. The students’ well being is not cared for at all. All that’s cared about is what number your child can contribute to the school grade. Don’t let the “A” fool you. Beware.

If your child has ADHD or a learning disability, this is not the school for you. If you don’t have hours to dedicate to homework every night, this is not the school for you. This school has been near impossible to try to get any accommodations for my child. I’ve spoke with other parents who’ve had to pull their kids out of the school because they refuse to give accommodations. And their kids are struggling. This is where I’m at with my child. I will be pulling him out during Christmas break and enrolling him in a different school that Is capable of accommodating a child with a learning disability

This school Is about average, the academia is the very basic and the teachers greatly favorite those students that parents are involve and volunteering. Which I believe they are not being fair with the good students. Overall is just OK.

I myself went to this school growing up. My son started here in 2nd grade we had a lot of trouble with his teacher that year. However, my son was prepared and was academically challenged and is now in Jr. High where he is a top performer. My daughter started Kinder last year and I was not happy. She was not succeeding, had a really tough transition. She received negative feedback on a regular basis. This year in 1st grade she is still struggling however, she is a lot more positive and is catching up. When we have contacted the school our questions were answered however, solutions were not always obtained. I love this area and the school but, I feel that the individual teacher is where success is made.
