I am very pleased with my children's experience at Evan's Park School. The teachers are incredibly engaging and genuinely care about their students’ success. They create an environment where learning is both fun and meaningful. Communication between the school and families is fantastic, and I always feel informed about my children's progress and upcoming events. The staff is dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive environment for every student. I’m grateful for all the hard work and care that goes into making this school such a wonderful place for my children to grow and learn!

Evans Park is a wonderful school. The parents are very involved, and the PTA tries hard to do the right thing for the teachers and kids. The principal is in her second year and has done very well adjusting and making changes to the program. My daughter has learned and grown at the school and loves the school and all the friends she made there. Glad to send her to a safe school in a wonderful school district.

My daughter excelled at Evans Park. The Pearl River School District is wonderful and both teacher and parents care very much about the education and safety of the children. I highly recommend Evans Park Elementary School.

The new Principal Ms. Pariot has been amazing! 2021-2022 has really been a great year for my child. Lots of activities, their teacher is fantastic, wonderful art and music program. Ms. Pariot has been a welcome improvement for the school.

My son is in first grade at EP, he was born a preemie and gets services for speech and OT, which the school provides. The teachers are great, he is in 1st grade and is in a class with 2 teachers and a TA so for a class of 21 its an excellent teacher/child ratio. Add to that their J.E.T program to help children who are having trouble with any subject I find the previous comment made by a parent unfair, personality conflicts aside the education of the child is what matters.

Parents do their best to support teachers and administration. Parents go over and beyond to make sure their child is benefiting from the school experience by hiring tutors to reinforce what their child should have learned at school. The 2013-2014 school year started off horribly with teachers using EngageNY modules to teach common core. Too bad the teachers had no training before the school year started and it resulted in children not wanting to go to school and parents frustrated because they could not help their children. These teachers and administration don't understand that just because material is "taught" doesn't mean that the children have learned it! There have been too many parents express at BOE meetings that they are doing the job of their child's teacher every night during homework time. Go to a BOE meeting and see for yourself how parents are dismissed when they bring their concerns to the attention of administration and board members. We parents do our job. Why aren't the paid "professionals" being held accountable when our students failed the NYS tests last year in math and ela? Stop stressing out the children and parents!

Evans Park has a wonderful principal that is doing her best to help her teachers make the transition to common core. It hasn't been easy transforming a staff whose approach to teaching resembles that of a Catholic school from the 1970's..but she seems to be doing her best. The majority of the teachers send home a huge amount of homework and don't seem to understand (or care) how this translates into stress for the students and parents! Only when the principal is made aware does this practice cease for at least a short time.These teachers need to also work on teaching in a way in which they meet all of the different learners needs. As a parent, my hope is that a new superintendent will demand more from these antiquated teachers.

Teachers are very engaged in getting the best out of every student. The principal is well respected and well regarded by staff and parents alike.
