I enrolled my daughter at St. Anthony's from kindergarten through 8th grade, and she graduated many years ago. It's important to note that my perspective might be considered somewhat dated. Several of her former classmates have gone on to prestigious universities such as Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, USC, and SUNY system schools. All students I remember pursued higher education, and every parent was deeply invested in their children's academic achievements. Due to this, my daughter experienced strain due to the academic pressure and often felt like she could not measure up to her peers. Unfortunately, the school lacked adequate emotional support services to address issues like imposter anxiety. Despite these challenges, she performed significantly better academically in high school and university compared to students who attended public schools. I appreciate that St. Anthony's maintains high standards for its students and aims to nurture well-rounded individuals with a commitment to philanthropy and service. It seems as though this school has changed over the many years, and I hope this school will flourish again.

Great school where you can get involved and your child is not just a number. Having 2 children graduate and go on to be very successful in high school and college. I still have a child attending St. Anthony where he is thriving. All my children have truly loved their experience there and felt that it has strengthened their relationship with God and made them better students.

Very welcoming and warm! From the first moment we entered the school, we knew this was the place for our children. Administration, Faculty and Staff were extremely helpful and we were proven correct when deciding this was the choice for us. Years later still as happy!

My children attend this school and they learn nothing substantial. The curriculum is lacking and seems to be watered down. After the close of this school year, I will be pulling my children out of this poor excuse for an elementary school.

I love St. Anthony School. I love that they know who I am and most importantly, they know my child. I believe that a catholic education is a great foundation when preparing children for a successful and respectable future. The staff do go above an beyond for the students, but parental involvement is lacking. I urge more parents to get involved in their kids' education at St. Anthony School. It is not enough to pay your tuition because your presence is PRICELESS! It takes a village, won't you join our village?

My child is happy at this school, and I am academically satisfied with this institution. My child is doing great. The teachers and staff are all committed to their students. I don't see too much parent involvement at this school, it is severely lacking.

I am unhappy with this school. I believe that the teachers are biased. They are very opininated and often impose their own beliefs (personal and political) on their students. Many of the teachers of this school are of Italian descent and have no problem with telling their students that their way, culture and beliefs are truth. Of course they don't use those words, but this is the message conveyed. It is fine to have their own personal opinions. However, the academic environment is not the place for that and it most certainly should not be imposed upon students. The 8th grade teacher is a primary example of a biased and opinionated teacher. She is not a good instructor and she tends to put many of her responsibilities on her students. She thinks that it is okay to speak to and treat students in any manner she chooses. The teacher gets support for her irresponsible actions from the principal. Instead of being open minded to the concerns of the parent, The Principal chooses to defend the irresponsibility. This is unacceptable. It shows that the school staff have a blatant disrespect for the students and families that they are paid to teach.

Wonderful school, kind and caring teachers and staff. My child is very happy here and doing well in all subjects.

The school has minimal activities and the teachers are not tech savvy at all. Because my school district is not so great, this school is the lesser of two evils. I do hope that the school catches on and does more to keep up with other successful districts in the county.

The leadership at this school is mediocre at best. Sending my children to this school was an absolute mistake. The children are behind in every academic aspect yet their report cards and progress reports say that they are excelling. (This comparison was done by looking at what other children in other schools in the same state and in the same grades are doing.) I actually spoke to the principal about this and she has yet to give me a response. September of 2014 will not see my kids at St. Anthony School. Word to the wise, "Stay away!" Try another Catholic School in the area or even public school. Sr. Pat is a former principal from a failing school in the Bronx so she really does not know how stray from that mindset. Sending your children here is an injustice.

The principal really does not care about what the parents tell her. She has no idea how to do her job and just about everything at school is subpar. Don't send your children here!! It's a wasted investment to say the least

St. Anthony School of Nanuet is an inferior academic institution. First, it is incredulous the way the school is constantly seeking more donations. It has the highest tuition rate of all Catholic schools in the area, and yet, every month, at least two letters are sent home asking for donations. Second, I find the curriculum lacking. My child comes home with assignments during the week that lack order. Assignments seem to be given at random, and exhibit a lack of focus in the teacher's lesson plan. Additionally, my child tells me quite frequently that the class watches movies. I am not paying such an exorbitant tuition for my child to watch movies. Intelligence should be pushed and minds molded, and should not be deteriorated by a lack of effort by the teacher. Finally, the class sizes are too large. My child does not get the individualized attention needed to maximize my child's intellectual potential. Thus, due to the aforementioned reasons, my wife and I will be removing our child from this school at the end of the school year.

The school has a curriculum that seems to be all over the place. While the teachers are friendly, the school seems to advertise what it does not have [a good education for your child]. The school really has a scant amount to offer and that is disheartening.

This school is everything you could ask for. The staff is wonderful, and they help each student reach their potential. It has a comfortable, family-like vibe that makes me want to come back and learn everyday. There are many after-school activities, and a great after-care program. Last year they have installed smart boards into every class room, which makes learning a lot more fun. It's a wonderful, diverse school that welcomes everyone with open arms!

In my opinion, a top rated Catholic school in the county! Excellent school! Diverse group of students. Excellent, caring faculty.

The older reviews are a bit out dated. The school now has an after-school program that runs until 6pm. The class sizes are about 22 kids. The school is still Pre-K to 8th grade. They still have recess on a paved lot but that doesn't seem to put a damper on their recess. The kids still have fun. They play kick ball, jump rope, tag, etc.. and there are basketball courts available. A great school in my opinion!

This school has about everything you would want for your child. This scool has aftercare and clubs for the students to partake. The classes are about 27 students no more than 30 and no less then 18. This school has grades of preK through 8th grade.
