Excellent school. Have one child in river ridge and am forced by the courts to send the other to st Mary's. There is no comparison between the two as st Mary's doesn't have enough qualified teacher because they are not required.

River Ridge Middle School is a good school and for the most part, student centered. I do feel commnication and follow-through on plans need to be much more monitored, I dealt with some situations with my children and all I got was TALK, no follow through. in talking with some other parents, they have experienced this as well. Staff do a good job of really trying to connect with students, but a minority of staff try to get OVERLY involved and try to be their "counselor," not very professional or appropriate, that is why we pay for guidance counselors. The elementary school always seemed to have a balance with the communication and follow-through and when my kids entered the Middle School, the balance did not exist. Please know that this is a good school for kids, but there seems to be a definate dis-connect in the mission of the school.
