Our beloved school, Fusion Academy stands out for its nurturing environment, where administrators and educators placing emphasis both on academic success and the well-being and development of each student. Currently, we have a junior in high school at Fusion, (our son has been at this school, formally Futures academy since 6th grade) and our satisfaction with the school could not be higher. Fusion's open-door policy and genuine interest in feedback from students and parents represents their commitment to continuous improvement and care. In our experience the teachers at Fusion are more than educators; they are mentors, advocates, and also role models. Mr. Matthew, Ms. Moria, Mr. Gary, Ms. Amber and Ms. Melissa are truly interested in our son’s progress, and our son is genuinely looking forward to interact with them. Students are encouraged to make mistakes and to learn from them, and they can correct their errors before their grades get impacted. This approach fosters a safe and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically without the fear of failure.The variety of classes offered here at Fusion is extensive, much more than what our home high school offers, and families have the flexibility and freedom to tailor their schedules to their students' needs. This customization ensures that each student's educational journey is as unique and enriching as possible. (For example, our son is allowed to take two classes at our local community college during the day, which he greatly enjoys and finds highly beneficial.)Fusion Academy is a truly remarkable school! I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who places a high value on the academic development and personal well-being of their children. It has spared us the stress and frustration we endured with our older son during his high school years at our local high school. Looking back, I sincerely wish we had made the switch for our older child to experience Fusion Academy's supportive and enriching environment.

We LOVE Fusion Academy! The one-on-one instruction our child receives has been completely transformative. He is super engaged and adores school now. The teachers do a great job of meeting kids where they are at and creating engaging curriculum. The administrators are lovely to work with and keep us updated on everything. The students have created a thoughtful and kind community. This is a safe haven for kids and families and we are so grateful for it!

My child was struggling badly in public school even with an IEP and special education teachers. Between the bullying, teachers not always following the IEP, or not being understanding about my child's learning challenges despite being smart, my kid was depressed, anxious, failing classes, and got to the point of flat-out refusing to go to school. Public school was failing my kid. Fusion has completely changed my kid’s outlook on school. The teachers are understanding, and compassionate, tailor the curriculum for the kid’s learning style, and do all they can to engage them and love learning again. The rest of the staff is also very welcoming and so helpful. My child now looks forward to school and is passing all classes! Something we haven’t seen in years! Wish we would have made the switch sooner and saved a lot of heartache. I’m so happy we found Fusion!

To downtown Pasadena Future Math teacher Ali,I am very happy to know Stella’s progress. I read your email to my parents during the dinner, and they are so pleased. Grandpa and grandma raised Stella, especially grandpa, who loved Stella as his daughter. My husband said that the most successful thing I did was to send Stella to the Future. I am very grateful for your encouragement and support for Stella. It is your method and personality that made Stella like to learn and gain confidence. Thank you

Futures Downtown Pasadena has a wonderful administration and faculty. Futures Downtown Pasadena has a peaceful environment that is able to provide a truly personalized education.

I joined this campus as a math/science teacher a year ago. As a teacher with almost 20 years of experience in private and alternative school situations I have been very impressed with the feeling of community and connection here at Fusion. As a teacher I am able to meet the student where they are and move them forward at a pace that is appropriate for them personally. It is the ultimate in personalized education.

Quality education by caring and dedicated teachers who build rapport with each student and individually tailor instruction to maximize each child's strengths as well as help develop emerging skills. Warm and supportive environment where students feel safe, included, and understood but also are challenged to grow in new ways. Highly recommend this school!

We were blessed to have discovered Futures Academy (now Fusion Academy Pasadena - Downtown) for our kiddo during challenging times when they were dealing with bullying from public school and struggling to focus on academics due to depression, anxiety, and gender dysphoria. The admins and teachers at the school are all wonderful, caring, and provided a safe and welcoming place to learn for my child. Class schedules were tailored to support our needs outside of school. They keep my child engaged and wanting to be at the campus. I couldn’t be more pleased and thankful!

My son started 9th grade at Futures in Pasadena in February of 2022. Ruth and the team in Pasadena customized a schedule for him so he can finish in a tight time frame. He's become self motivated and he's excited to learn! Words can't express how thrilled I am to see him thrive!

Futures Pasadena was a Godsend for our son and our family. Our son went to Futures for his Freshman year of high school. He did well and really enjoyed the individual attention. One year at Futures was just what he needed in order to get ready for a traditional high school. The only reason we moved him out of Futures was for sports as our son plays football and baseball. As a Freshman, our son was not ready for a traditional high school. He is graduating from high school in a few short months and already has a four year “academic” scholarship to play baseball at a D3 college. I don’t have the words to properly express my deep gratitude to Futures and Ruth Park for taking a chance on our son. Thank you Ruth and Futures…You are truly doing the Lord’s work!!!

This school is, simply put, a scam. Over the course of two months, my daughter went through three different teachers because two of them quit abruptly. Why so much turnover? The courses were poorly designed across all disciplines, and the teachers were unprepared. The campus director was glad to get my money but offered me no reasonable explanation for why the teachers kept quitting. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away.

Halstrom is the way all schools should be. The one to one teaching/learning is absolutely effective. This allows the teacher and student to have a wonderful relationship and supports the child's strengths and nurtures their challenges. The student can move forward quicker when they understand the material, or slow down when they need some extra help. The staff and teachers are top notch! They are enthusiastic and caring. The students from 6 th grade thru highschool are all very kind and accepting to one another. I highly, highly recommend Halstrom. We are so happy our son is there and can't wait to wnroll our other son when he gets to 6 th grade.

Great one to one learning environment! Not overcrowded. Staff is very attentive and on top of things. My child is very happy here!
