Great place to be if you are affluent. Otherwise, senior staff doesn't seem to care as much if they don't get nice Christmas gift cards. If you're one of the oddballs out in Palos Park, you won't bode well here. Building is nice and they are well funded, was pleased with how they handled but COVID but the racial disparities are bothersome. One teacher got let go because she called out another on their racism! Sad. Hope they do better, possibly with change of admin (?).

My daughter in first grade new how to write in cursive and they were disappointed instead of encouraging her.

This school has inspired me in many ways. The teachers are nice and the students are smart, I really love how safe and loving this school is. But sometimes the students could get out of hand and get away with it. But overall this is school has a good amount of homework and this school helps everyone and supports everyone.

This school is great, I am a student here and I say it is awesome, there are many smart people and they provide a great experience for all students. This school is great and I give it a 4.5/10, great school!

the district is very well run and the teachers from pre-k all the way through 5th grade were outstanding and caring and they work hard to be great teachers.

pretty neutral. not sure I would suggest moving to this district but at the same time I know it could be much worse.

My son is now in his second year at Palos West and has been performing very well. He has many opportunities to do work that challenges him. He also has support in the key areas where he needs extra help. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful and patient second grade teacher this year. She is highly qualified, compassionate, and I can really tell that she loves teaching.

Teachers are hit or miss. Our son is a special needs(vision) student and the school could not figure out how to use text enlargement devices to allow him to read. Whats worse, when taking MAP tests in first grade the teacher could not figure out how to enlarge the screen so simply told him to try and take the test anyway. Not happy with this district and if we are able to sell our home this spring will be out of here. I do not recommend moving into this school district.
