Why is social emotional learning being introduced into the classroom? Were all parents informed as to the implementation of this curriculum. Was everyone made aware of what this curriculum actually entails and the reasons for implementation. As a parent or guardian, do we have the option of pulling our children out of this class.

We have had a high turnover of superintendents who have all made sweeping changes including the approval of a new grading system that no one seems to have a handle on (4,3,2,1 vs. A,B,C,D). The superintendent is more focused on $ rather than the needs of the kids. Class rooms are very overcrowded. Would not recommend district 135

High Point Elementary is a Great School where both our kids studied for few years and graduated. They gave importance for Student behavior and shape them well; Academics are covered well although I prefer to see more Science Fairs and Math Club activities. Band and Orchestra are good.Overall a Great School!
