My daughter went to this school. She faced plenty of bullying scenarios. The principal was unwilling to accept it was bullying despite my numerous appearances at the school with the dean and staff. It seems the principal is more interested in protecting the school's reputation. The classrooms are crowded. The teachers are very polite and caring, yet they lack support. The atmosphere of the school is hostile. I understand teachers and schools can only do so much, the rest falls into the hands of the parents. I observed parents picking up their children while listening to loud, foul, and disrespectful music. Some mothers consistently picked up their children wearing pajamas. It seems this is an issue greater than just the school, it becomes a community issue. I took my child out of Tamarisk Elementary School and decided to homeschool her. She was behind in her reading, math, and many other skills. I had to start teaching her a curriculum two grades below her actual level.
