In my experience as a parent I would not recommend this school. The students here have terrible language, the school itself doe poor practices at disciplining their youth accordingly. The school staff overall i am unhappy with as well. The teachers so far do care but are overwhelmed and try and communicate and rectify however everything is out of their hands and sent to the office and overall the office does not communicate well with parents. Maybe in efforts to hide the issues, I am not sure however am very displeased. I am looking for other options as a parent, and I advise you to as well. Steer clear. We need upstanding individuals. They are supposed to be assisting in helping better these children for a great future and they are failing drastically.

Great School Curriculum… they pushed to learn and try out new competencies, teachers supports their students by giving valuable feedback that helps you to improve. Teachers are so passionate about seeing their students succeed. They know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner.

It is an amazing school. I went from Kinder to 5th Grade. (I left in 2016) There weren't many teachers per grade. There wasn't any drama or problems but some teachers were very opinionated.

This school is horrible. Bad parents, bad students, bad teachers. They do not effectively deal with school bullies or physical fights among students.

Golden Poppy is the greatest school to be! My daughter looks forward to going to school every day. She has made new friends and is so proud of her beautiful new campus. I as a parent am pleased with the teachers and staff. We have a great community working together to make our school the best in the AV!

This is my second year as Principal of Golden Poppy Elementary and I cannot say enough good things about students, staff, and parents we have here. For the second year in a row our test scores have increased along with our parent participation and PTA. I look forward to this year as we continue to implement a model that demands high levels of learning for all students!

The principal at this school is one of the best ever! Golden Poppy is phenomenal! I absolutely love this school. This school has changed my son's life. He was struggling really bad with school. He couldn't read or anything at all, I almost gave up hope. He attended Joshua Hills before Golden Poppy. Joshua Hills never helped him and was sending him to 3rd grade on a Kindergarten level. Once he attended Golden Poppy, the principal immediately placed him in the class he needed to be in, he was also placed in tutoring and interventions. Mrs.Berry and other teachers took out time to personally come up with a plan for him and to help him the best way they can. My kids have no complaints. I am now here to say that my son has improved over 80%. He is now reading, and he has confidence. He said "Mom I love Golden Poppy so much, my teachers have really helped me and I can read now"! I cried. I am so grateful for the principal Mr.Beardsley, Mrs.Berry, Ms.Noble, and for everyone there who has helped my kids. Thank you guys for going above and beyond for my son as well as other kids :-)
