My daughter is in fourth grade and has been thriving at this school. Every teacher she has had have been great. This year she has Me. Kesel and I really like him. She does too. Our son has special needs and will hopefully attend this same school next year.

Carter is an amazing school. The friendliness of the office personnel is so much better than it was last year (a couple new ladies). The Principal is a little rough around the edges but definitely has the kids best interest at heart. He’s amazing with the students. If you volunteer here you can see the amount of trust the kids show to the staff and vice versa. Yes, there are some issues usually with kids who are misbehaving. But that’s no surprise. Any school will have issues. Carter, however, is such a warm and welcoming school. The PTA at this school is wonderful. This year there have been so many friendly and welcoming people. Makes us feel comfortable. The school seems to be making some changes with technology and that is always a plus. My family enjoys the events that are put on at Carter, they truly care about their students. Great School!

Carter Elementary is an AWESOME school! My son came from private schools for his 5th Grade year with Mr. Morway. Everyday was a 10! Mr. Morway is a wonderful teacher who inspires his students to learn and do their best. The Reading A/R program rocks! My son was ready for junior high which was proven by his test scores, his confidence, his placement in classes at PDCMS and his current grades and enthusiasm. The principal runs a great school and the front office staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful! Thank you to all of you at Carter for doing such a great job!

James Earl Carter Elementary, Principal Jeff Hingsen, I have spoke to him about this issue that occur on 23Sept2014. I'm very upset & outrage about my Grandchild ordeal...LOCKED OUT OF THE SCHOOL upon exiting thru a wrong door. She said it seem like HOURS, frighten, alone, knocking on doors/windows but nothing. This happened after seeking help due to not feeling well & was sent to the office. I feel this is where the breaK down & COMMUNICATION occur from the Office & her Teacher....clearly no regards to your child safety; whom we TRUST TO PROTECT THEM not out of their sight with no supervision! She was face with protecting herself roaming the grounds outside of the school, scared. First year & no one offer her a tour of the school. Her rescue came from a Kindergarten Teacher at recess who instructed her back inside. I Thank You. Once again directed to classroom to find it empty. I read another Parent's review noted 8Sept06 & agreed the after school pick up is chaotic & frightfully dangerous. I have observed the Kids during the day outside in 106% + heat, instead of Principal/Staff doing activity inside. Organization has a giant weakness, & safety doesn't seem to be important!

This is an outstanding school with wonderful, caring teachers, great support staff and an awesome principal! My 3rd child is about to begin here and we couldn't be happier with the experience the first two have had.

There has been a vast improvement the last year of two regarding the respect being shown parents by the office personnel. Parents should continue to demand the respect their entitled to at James Earl Carter Elementary.

Carter's staff from the principal to the office staff, teachers, librarian and noon yard supervisors are all wonderful! I was saddened to read the prior post by another parent as I witnessed the event they were speaking of. The office staff was to the point with this parent because they had pulled in to a one-way entrance going the wrong way which could have put our children, mine included, at harm. It's unfair to ridicule the staff without explaining the entire circumstances behind their demeanor. Our family could not be more grateful for the care, support, and guidance provided by the entire staff at Carter. We also have a wonderful community of supportive parents at Carter.

My daughter has attended Carter for 4 years now and we have had an absolutely wonderful experience with each teacher and each year that passes. The staff is kind and diligent. The principal is kind and cares for the children. The teachers are truly great in every aspect you would want as a parent for your child. I highly recommend this school! We feel blessed to call it our Elementary Home.

I am very happy that my daughter got a chance to attend this school. I really like the way teacher works with each students in their class, The Homework covers everything which they need to do on based of their grade, My dughter is having fun in her second grade class. I will also have my son to go into this school once he would be 5 years old. PTO program in this school is very helpful and keep you in loop about their activities in school. I love this school so does my daughter. The teachers are wonderful. Thank you very much carter for taking my daughter in your school. Great School!!!
