I have felt welcomed and informed. There are many opportunities to become involved with the school and speak with the teachers, principals and staff. They had a wonderful literacy night specifically designed to inform and educate parents on how we can best help our children succeed in this dual language school.

Living in so cal, being fluent in Spanish is important. I’m not since it’s not my ethnicity or heritage, however my children are, all because of this school. My children are biliterate and I appreciate all the personal attention given to my children from the staff. Today I believe the school is so popular, because it is one of the few dual immersion schools in the Oxnard/Ventura area. We are lucky we got accepted to this fine school!

Rio Real has come a long way since the last posted review on this site. Their Dual Immersion Program is a true success and continuous improvement. I can genially write that my child, like many other kiddos, is part of a very successful academic program. My child has been going to Real since Kinder garden, she is in 4th grade now. My child was English speaking only when she first started. She is now a very fluent writer, speaker and reader in English and Spanish. Her bilingual skills flow very naturally. Her critical thinking and comprehension is incredible! The staff is great for the most part; they seem caring towards the students. I also love the fact they play upbeat music most Friday mornings, it seems to excite the kids to be at school.
