I graduated for Spring Vale Academy in 2015. While the school is quite obviously a Christian private school and there are the normal things that come along with it like conservative Christian values there are some unexpected things that I witnessed while in attendance. Faculty and student relationships aren’t uncommon. I personally went to school with two students that ended up marrying faculty members shortly after graduation. The school is small and many of the students have parents who are faculty. I witnessed some pretty blatant preferential treatment. The school has a difficult time holding on to directors, often times settling for unqualified church members that have no education or back ground in education. Many of the teachers follow suite. It has been my experience that the school prioritizes religious indoctrination over high quality academic instruction and education. While not explicitly stated more resources and a wider range of extracurricular options are allocated to the male students. Dress codes are strict and are disproportionately enforced on the female students.

Spring Vale has been an excellent school for my children. They have excelled in the low student to teacher ratio, been academically challenged, have grown spiritually, and made many wonderful friends. The teachers are wonderful role models to the student and truly are passionate about helping each student reach their potential and succeed.

One word comes to mind: dedicated. There are many dedicated staff members who serve in this ministry/school! In recent years they have ramped up the quality of education by implementing classical teaching techniques. They don’t teach students what to think- but how to think. They have great life skills classes, art, music, and the usual required classes too.

Our oldest son went to Spring Vale as a boarding student his senior year, and he loved it! We really wish that we would have sent him a couple years earlier. Now 4 of our children are students as day students; 2 in the grammar school and 2 in the upper school. They all love this school!!We used to homeschool our 7 children, but Spring Vale is in line with our conservative Christian values, and the education is top-notch with small class sizes. The life skills classes are phenomenal. There's been beekeeping (and collecting honey), auto care, cooking, sewing, fishing, interior + exterior painting, videography, carpentry, and more. So cool.

I have sent 5 of my children to Spring Vale and they all loved the experience. The teachers are very responsive to the individual needs of each student and they create a positive learning environment. Spring Vale has increased my children's passion for learning and has done a good job preparing them for the next stages in life.

Attending Spring Vale was one of the best decisions of my life. I was very prepared for college, grew in character, and made great friends whom I still speak to today.
