If your child is falling behind cause they don't have time to teach they just don't care .. Teachers are bias to certain kids and make their high school experience miserable.

don't send your kids here if they don't match up to what the VP thinks they should, they will get singled out and disrespected

For a school with anti bullying policy .. it seems that there are exceptions to the rule. If a child has a slight mental ability (don't know of a better way to say it) they can bully and the school protects the bully because the victim needs to be more understanding about their condition . It also seems that they are ok with some (not all some are great) staff bullying students for things they have nothing to do with.

Las Plumas' teachers does a great job at teaching. Some teachers does not try hard to do their part as a teacher but most of the teachers that I had did. My parents wanted us, children, to experience a challenge and go to a school where education matters. Along with the teaching, college courses were offer and they definitely provide a challenge to my studies. I enjoy the fact that I had a higher GPA than just a 4.0 because of the advance placement (AP) courses offer to students. As a senior in high school, I did not have to go through with the whole school year because I have enough credit. So I did home school for two courses that was needed and I was done by the first semester. This gave me the opportunity to go into college a semester in advance, which was awesome. The school could improve on security. When I went to school I noticed that the security officers were very laid back and did not seem to care whether there were students doing things they were not suppose to. Other than that the school is a great one if one is looking into improving their child's academic studies and education.

I love this school, I have many friends here but there are some racist/closed minded people that are bullies. I had a math teacher as well who was a bully, focusing all his attention on me and making fun of my last name.

You have been warned. This is a discriminative school with unsatifactory staff. The counselor here told my 2 children countless times that she would refuse to help my children with the process of college applications because she believed it they wouldnt go to college and it would be a waste of her time. She wouldn't sign a fee waiver for their SATs or help with sending and printing school transcripts! The teachers are very superficial. My daughter told me, a teacher would tell the students sometimes about her drinking with the other colleauges and on their little weekend get aways. This is not a place wehre you wold want your child to be.
