Not sure why this school has such a poor rating! Former student! Class of 2010! I was highly motivated and was very involved in a leadership club, FHA (Future Homemakers of America). I found lots of support from all staff involved in my 4 years at this school. I don't know about other students, but school is only what you make out it. If you participate and are highly motivated, then you excel in this school. Parents should get involved and be part of their child's education. Don't blame the school but fail on your part!

Not sure what happened to my original review but I don't mind posting another. I was very surprised just how many of my former classmates amounted to nothing after graduating from here. But perhaps for starters, instead of requiring community service from your students in an effort to prepare them for when they're inevitably arrested and on parole/probation, you could instead offer a coding course. It's almost 2022, it's about time to teach the students how to code, granted most of them won't care about it, but it's at least giving some of your students a fighting chance in the real world to try to help them work tech roles.

Pretty Good excepts needs to be more challenging. Needs get that California Distinguished School to have a higher rating. Also probably needs that IB program, so don't send your kids if you want them to be challenged. Only good if you want them to have a good class rank and want colleges to see your kid or child stand out. Half of the kids in the classes don't study and too many class distractions, but overall nice. Too many students don't do well.
