Horrible principal and horrible kids. Lots of bullying. If your kid is nice and well behaved stay away from this school.

The teachers don't care, and neither do the students. That's why the test scores are so bad.

I was nervous about the school due to ratings, but my daughter has enjoyed the school. The teachers are great at communication from what I've witness so far. The daily communication in the journals not only with academic but behavioral. The only problem that I have had was my daughter being quite nervous with a new student that entered the class due to his behavior, may have be developmental issues. But the teacher was reassuring to my daughter as well as to me.

I have enjoyed my daughters attending riverside. I love the front office staff, always friendly greetings and willing to help. The teachers have gotten better with communication. I would like to see more parent involvement.

I really like the school, the teachers & the rest of the staff, BUT the two women that you see when you first enter the school which are the secretaries, are not friendly, they almost never smile when I enter the building! The secretary that sit to the back is always making faces & always gossiping, the Spanish secretary that sit in front agrees with everything she says even if it's wrong! Sometimes she says little smart things to the kids. Sometimes I speak and they never speak back!! They need to put refreshing faces in the front office, someone is going to smile and speak as the kids come into school!

I worked at Riverside Elem. and the teachers and staff are the best. I now live in Pa., but I love to keep in touch with the scores and grades. Congrats to Jay Rutledge on being the Teacher of the Year. I love it.
