My son was a Freshman 2023-2024 school year, Let me start with something if you not an active Catholic Family means going to church every sundays and the most important give donations and participation for the church the school is not going to let you continue. my son had an scholarship from step up already for 4 years for Unique Abilities and at the last minute the Arquidiocesis of orlando denied it because they said we are not an active members of the church where we live in Kissimmee. we called the priest in charge and he refused to sign the letter, we never had any problems for 4 years been in catholic schools previously at middle Catholic school and we got the transfer for Bishop Moore they never advise us no communication about it. Bishop Moore did nothing about this they said is not up to them and never give to us any apologies or help. they just said pay the whole price in tuition fees. why? we have scholarship already the arquidiocesis is not respecting the state scholarship approvals. We are suspecting that Catholic schools are refusing Finacial Aids for Students because they prefered Families that give money to church and can pay full tuition.In conclusion, we waste the whole year in payments and sacrifices with transportation because we lived 45 minutes to 1 hour from the school now we are trying to find another option for schools in our area is very difficult because public schools in florida are not the best. Bishop Moore make preferences about A+ students, Very good students with sports abilities. Parents and families that donate money, the Administration is not there for u when you need them. we were very excited when we start the year and now my son is very insecure and unsure in what he wants to do in High school. Catholic Education is turning to a Money thing and is sad.

Save your money. This school does not offer anything special. The academics is not worth paying for, most teachers don’t teach. The new thing is having your kid look at a video on his/her own and try to figure the lesson out on his/ her own. The teachers are not professional. Both male and female teachers try to become the students friends. There is a teacher in the school who sends students to the dean’s office for not following the uniform guidelines yet, she has 2 daughters that are not wearing the appropriate school shorts. They are wearing shorts that are just about 1 inch past their buttocks. The bottom line is the school’s motto is “ Money talks.” Very disappointed in the catholic school system.

My son only lasted 2 months in this school. He has aspergers syndrome. I was told they knew how to teach kids like mine. They even had a PEERS program in house. He started at 10th grade instead of 9th. Teachers ALL assumed he knew their policies and methods because he was a 10th grader. As a new student, They did not bothered to explain them to him. Even though teachers saw him in class, because he did not check in with his iPad, then he had missed class - no help to correct the records; even though he had read the homework in class, because he did not uploaded the work, then he had not done it - no help to fix the record. He was humiliated with no mercy by the teachers, and the councelors because there is "No- exceptions" on their rules. And they all assumed he should have guessed how they work. They were uncapable of understanding the limitation of an Asperger's kid, they were unwilling to allow him to upload the work they have heard him read on time, but he was unaware he to upload. After being an honor student in previous schools he had the worst grades ever in his life. He got so frustrated and depressed he was literally suicidal and the school wanted him out. No help of any kind. My son used to be a good catholic kid. Thanks to their unflexible, unforgiving ways he got not only disappointed in the Catholic church, but stopped believing in God all together. In his mind, if that is the way God believers treat good people, and he praying didn't help him to be understood and helped then there is no God. Thanks to THAT school we have spent hours with therapists and he has been traumatized for life!! If your child has special needs and you think you wiill get a true Christian treatment, be aware that is not the right place. They'll take your money, they won't help your child, they only push them to go to mass, but have no true christianity in them to lead by example.Btw, i gave one star because the system doesn't let me take stars away !

My son loves this school and we are very happy with it also. He has several learning challenges, but is thriving and making excellent grades. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a superior high school education in the Orlando area.

Very run of the mill not the inspiring service based institution one would e pect based on people they honor due to socio economics thinking they are better than others

Campus is nice. Education is great. The only problem is that the guidance counselors do not allow students to freely choose the classes they want to take (especially for honors & AP). If your child wanted to take an AP class, he/she needs a strong psat reading score. My child was not good at standardized tests, but had As in all his classes. He wanted to take an AP but they would not let him. I talked with the guidance counselor and asked if it was for the school's good reputation of their "high academic students" and she admitted it was indeed...They don't give students a chance to take an AP class because they want the school to look good academically. Many high achieving students are only in honors & standard classes. Those students COULD have tried for an AP. But the guidance counselors did not allow them due to a low standardized test score. They say they are "worried about the child's performance in the AP or honors class" but thats not 100% true. They're worried about how good their school looks compared to others...This came right out of the guidance counselor's mouth... Absolutely horrible...

This year BMCHS has gone "all iPad" replacing most school books with apps or eBooks. Assignments are given online via Schoology -- a Facebook like application where teachers post homework, messages, reminders of tests, etc. Students can download assignments and turn them in online. For my student this is great -- he no longer forgets to get or turn in homework and the grades reflect it. The teachers are very supportive, they stay an hour after school so any student wanting / needing extra help can go to any of their classes to get one on one support. The classes tend to work in groups of 4-5 students on projects -- so it is less "sit and listen to lectures" and more interactive in learning. All in all we love the way BMCHS is educating its students -- and we aren't even Catholic! There are regular, Honors & IB classes. My student wants to come early and stay late -- I practically have to drag him away. The kids are friendly and if you are into clubs there are 50 of them and there are 40 sports teams from football to bowling to tennis to golf to swimming to lacrosse -- name a sport and it is probably at Bishop Moore.

I graduated here in 2009 and my sister in 2013 and there's a lot of bright students that attend this school! I went to Freedom High School in Orlando FL my freshman year and switched to BM for 10,11 & 12th grade and I noticed such a huge difference in something as simple as self respect and the students' concern for knowledge and doing well in school. My sisters graduating class had 2 Valedictorians! It's a great school.

My two sons are graduates of BM (2005 and 2010). Both of them were well prepared for college. One went to Notre Dame as full scholarship and my other son is in UCF. BM is one of the best private schoos in Orlando. They have great academics and athletic. I'm proud to have sent my two boys to BM.
