This is an interesting environment. To start, that is a very nice facility. Mostly clean, but also doesn't consistently occupy the bathrooms with appropriate equipment to use it efficiently. Things like toilet paper, soap, the essentials. In regard to the campus and the area, it is a very safe and high alert area. There cameras work with people monitoring them VERY frequently. Even with this information, it is not five stars. This information is what got it three stars. This place lacks genuine care. What I mean by that is, teachers tend to teach to their comfortability, not to the understanding of the students. Mostly, that school pushes the Aice Program so hard that most kids don't realize that the AICE Program mainly helps kids that want to study abroad. Now don't get me wrong, there are some amazing teachers like, Mr. Ritz, the AP English language and Composition. It is more frequent to find teachers that only get the job done, not worrying about if they did the job right. As far as Administration goes, don't get me started. They make the place feel emotionally uncomfortable. Everyone, except for Mrs. Haile :), needs to do better for the sake of the students. From Dress Code to color coded bathroom rules, which are stupid, they have given students every reason to rebel against their wishes. However, the principal seems to be alright. I've rarely seen him because he is always in his office, which isn't his fault. The genuine care does not stop at the adults, it ends with the student environment. I hope that whenever you read this, the toxic energy of the students is gone. If it's not, I can't say that I didn't warn you. Make sure if you go to this school, to watch your back. Not everybody is your friend. Not everybody is friendly. If you don't watch your back, you might have to pay the cost for it later. If you don't know, now you know...

My children appear to like the school but not very challenging. The school pushes this AiCE Program and it really did nothing finically for my son as he left the state and none of the college credits transferred. There are pods(trailers) used as classrooms as the community chose to overdevelop the area and have very narrow streets that causes school traffic to come to a standstill.

My daughter is in the AICE program and we love the teachers, and are very happy with the level of education she is receiving.

Excellent school! Out of the 3 high schools my son attended in 3 different states, this one by far has been the best!

I have had great experiences with both of my boys attending this school.

Zero. Most rediculous and sexist dress code of any school I have ever attended. Frays on my jeans do not prevent your fragile boys from learning. Stop holding me accountable for boy's character flaws.

I have felt comfortable from day one and I am in my Junior year this year. I have learning disabilities and the teachers have been very supportive and encouraging. I have always been a social outcast but here everyone from jocks to nerds are my friends. This is a great school.

MAJOR COMPLAINT : This school is OVERCROWDED! Many of the students come from Duval county and the school does not investigate it. If they will not do anything about this, THEN contact me and I will ! OVERALL : My children like this school very much. The work is challenging and they feel very comfortable for this school is diverse.

How is a school allowed to give out final warnings for not having a sticker on their car, when they never recieved the first warning? Then are told that they ARE NOT giving out parking passes because it is Friday! Really, mmmm seems to me if you want the problem resolved you should have been doing your jobs. I read through the handbook and it doesn't say that you don't do passes on Friday. You don't dare tell the admistrator who your child is because there will be reprisal against your child. A concerned parent with the administration at Oakleaf High School.

A school that institutionalizes bullying. Using shame to enforce rules in a emotionally vulnerable population is equally wrong whether it is done by the mean girls or the principal.

Your "shame suit" is shameful. If you want to police what the kids are wearing, give them uniforms, not ammunition for more bullying. Maybe you should employ a psychologist to help you all figure out why you hate young teen women so much.

Honestly this school is an amazing place to attend. The academies there are excellent. Although some teachers are very racist against Hispanics. Attending this school gives you so many opportunities, for example not all schools offer the aerospace academy , other than that the teachers , especially the math ones, are super lousy most of them are hardly ever at school and the subs don't know anything so the students aren't learning anything two weeks at a time oakleaf is a great school with amazing people but it has to step up its game

Honestly Oakleaf High School is a JOKE. Honestly the teachers don't care about the students and if you're not a popular kid neither will the administration. The principal is a joke as well, he's very unfriendly and to be honest no one respects him here. If I were you I would find a better place for your children to go.
