RHS was an amazing experience for my daughter !My daughter had been in private Christian schools since pre-school and transferred to RHS for her senior year. It was a very good experience where she excelled in academics and in her dual enrollment opportunities. The counseling staff was amazing at every turn. Ms. Loudy's approach to assisting senior students with college acceptance tips and real world work scenarios was very much appreciated. The IT program at RHS is top notch ! I was a nervous private school parent that feared public school would be a step back in my daughter's education. But I am happy to say that I was wrong, wrong, wrong. RHS was the perfect end to my daughter's schooling before college. Thank you RHS !!!

People always talk about how Ridgeview is so great, but it really isn't. Most people who claim it's great are parents who haven't even been in the school for more than an hour. They don't have an orientation, but instead you just get a printed schedule for the first day. You're left there looking around the campus that has a really bad layout. My parents were upset that they couldn't meet my teachers. People suggest you go to open house, but you see Ridgeview schedules that at the worst time of the day. The principal is overly strict and just sits in her office all day, when guidance makes schedules they mess up on a lot, the portables are old and in bad condition. I remember having a class with no ac. This is Florida, air conditioning is a necessity. Anyways, back to the list. The principal favorites teachers and caters to them, they took away English honors for 11th and 12th grade, they're taking away Latin, the food is often undercooked, and the list goes on! The only positive thing I think to say is that I have a had a handful of really good teachers.

I find it very hard to find any positive feedback for this school. The teachers are completely over-staffed, especially the ESE program. The infrastructure is embarrassing. There are vine and weeds growing up the sides of buildings. Most of these buildings are decaying and sinking, the rest are primarily portables (102 to be exact). These portables were built in the 70s and are collapsing into the ground. Last year, one of them caved in from the cockroaches that had eaten it away. Weeds appear through the cracks of every piece of concrete you see. The funding for Ridgeview is terrible and certainly doesn't go unnoticed. Still using 2008 computers loaded with Windows XP in the IT department. Freshman year, the teachers asked us to donate paper. Elective courses are little to none as every other course gets cut within the first years its started. The excuse of "not enough student interest" can only get you so far. There are only 3 world languages (only 2 soon) courses, and only 12 AP courses that are still offered. This school makes no effort to appear modernized and provides only a county entitled education, constantly pandering to IB students and students that make no effort. The IB students are the highlight of the school, but even they only make up a VERY small percent of the actual population. It makes me sad that these kids interpret Ridgeview as their "high school" and imagine this is how things are suppose to be like. Virtual schools are better than this hell-hole.

For everyone who says the school sucks, i dont know what they are looking at. A very nice campus and the diversity of the students is great. The sports teams and facilities are high class. The teachers a devoted to helping students with saturday school and tutoring. A all round great school.

The teachers are amazing and the students are diversed, there isn't just a flat out person that goes there but rather a large mixture, something less common than people realize. Which is something since I've gone to over 15 schools. The teachers will work with you if you reach out, many of mine spending most their hours trying to make us succeed.

Ridgeview High School is a hidden gem in Clay County. It is the only school in the county with an IB program and it also has a large program for autistic students. Their presence generates a strong sense of community among students and faculty. An amazing thing about Ridgeview is how they recognize academic clubs and sports equally, unlike neighboring high schools that cater more to athletes. The new administration is doing an excellent job. Although they faced some criticism for being "too strict", they have made this good school even better. Teachers who got by with doing the least possible have been weeded out and the very few students who are troublemakers get disciplined swiftly. The facilities are somewhat old, but they have started remodeling. Old facilities aside, the people working and learning inside are the most amazing. Teachers are very caring and dedicated and the students are very grade conscious and want to learn. It might be hard to believe, but there still are some schools in which students want to learn and Ridgeview High School is one of them. GO PANTHERS!

This school SUUUUUCCCCKKKSSS!!! It completely lacks diversity and the education here is ooverrated and bullying is very common.

This school is overpopulated and thus over-regulated, leaving the decision-making heavily teacher-biased. The chain of authority for regulating education in this state in general is extremely biased towards progressive reform to standardize all schools and prevent teacher specialization and a more broad curriculum with more electives. The IB program is definitely dominant and works like a trade school, only there's less money in it, so students that want to specialize are actually cheated. Unless you are preparing your child for a life in a technical school, you should not enroll them here. High School should groom for a higher education and prepare students for life.

This school is NOT as great as most parents make it out to be, as they do not know what goes on inside the school. First thing I should start out saying is the ADMINISTRATION is a JOKE, the "pick and choose" deal goes on here, and the teachers are always the "victims." Some of the RULES are absolutely RIDICULOUS, such as the dress code policy, and the absense policy (miss 5 days and your child gets all 59F's!!!). The school has great teachers, but most cater to the I.B. students. Overall rating 2/5 - your child is better off at Oakleaf!

I hate this school. and yeah I agree, some of the rules here are so stupid and useless to have. We also don't have 50 minute lunch due to idiots fighting. We havent had it for a quite while now. I feel like I'm in jr. high all over again and I'm a senior this year. Barely any senior activities, and a bunch of unnecessary drama. The sophomores in particular. Needless to say, I miss my freshman year 07-08. I thought senior year was supposed to be the best year in high school...obviously not.
