Stay Far Far Away from this school. There is major favoritism that goes on here. The kids who are doing better academically are treated differently, and their mishaps are overlooked by the teachers and the administration. The families that contribute to the school receive special treatment. The administration is approachable but does not do enough to address the issues that are brought to them. This was also the case with the previous administration. No, Saint Joseph School is not one big happy family, so do not believe the reviews. Instead, listen to what the parents are saying amongst themselves about the teachers and the administration. Most state that some upper school faculty along with the administration is in need of a change. This is the reason why a lot of the kids do not come back after fifth grade. Some teachers do not care much about the children, they only want things done their way. Demerits and Detentions are continuously used to intimidate the kids and they are handed out very often.

It's a great school, as long as your child fits into their "mold". If your child has special needs, it's a disaster. Their main goal is to keep the special ed children with IEPs as far away as possible from the mainstream children and families. Their solution is to place out of district and once that happens, good luck trying to get your child back.

Great school, great teachers, what can i say else! My daughter is going to second grade. At the beginning of the year, she was not really at her level. But the teachers and the helping teachers tried to give their best support and my daughter did a very big improvement and caught the class. They are always in contact with the family about the child . I'm not happy only about one thing.I don't understand why the school does not serve lunch meals for lunch time? Because it's a big school and there's enough space for it!

As a grandmother of three children who attend Oradell, I see that they love their teachers and are happy to attend school every morning.

Oradell Public is a wonderful school. The faculty is very nurturing to the students as well as the parents. Academically the school is very well rounded with a wonderful music program as well as a strong emphasis on reading, math and science. My children love going to school!
