I’m in my third year at Bergen Catholic.Although the corona virus cut half of my freshman and it would have cut off all of my sophomore year luckily Bergen Catholic allowed us to go in via cohorts. Despite these hurdles and two teachers This school has shown me the best time of my life. The education is top tier and the friends you make along the way will be with you for life. Not even to mention the alumni whom have given Bergen grads amazing jobs coming out of college.The connections and skills I have learned at this school are invaluable.I love this school and my brothers who I attend school with everyday. I hope one day I have a son so I can send him to Bergen like my parents did with me. Overall amazing school and to the parents deciding where to send their son I highly recommend Bergen Catholic.

Best choice of my life. Lifelong friends and the excellent academics have set me up to be successful along with the greatest alumni network of any high school. It is really a brotherhood. DEUS VULT!

I am an alumnus of Bergen Catholic High School. My experience at the school has provided me with a top-notch education as well as access to one of the highest rated athletic programs. What truly sets apart the experience from other schools is the family-like environment that fosters comradery and life-long friendships. Whether you are looking for a great athletics program or an academic curriculum to prepare for top-tier college admissions, Bergen Catholic is the best school when you look at the experience holistically (academics, athletic programs, culture, support, extracurricular activities, etc)

This is my third year at this school. What really bothers me about this school is the administration and teachers. This is a school that cares more about the dress code than the students and their education. I have had the same teacher for a subject for 2 years and i tried to transfer out because him/her does not get along nor does him/her know how to treat/teach the students. The administration told me i cannot change teachers however other students were able to change out of other classes. I am not the only one; other students have tried to change however the school has done NOTHING. Our parents pay good money for this school; we should have a voice and it should be heard. If there was a petition against this teacher at least 100+ students would sign. Now God forbid that you didn't shave, don't have the right shoes or have a sweatshirt, etc it will result in detention. There is someone in particular who loves to roam the halls looking to give out detentions. They will roam the halls, the cafeteria and classrooms. Its the dress code above all in Bergen. Plus its overcrowded. The school is starting to put money over quality and the students. I'm glad to be leaving soon. Good luck

So basically this is a school that I don't fit in. I transferred from a Christian high school. The first thing that is really disturbing is the language they use in this school. Adjectives such as filthy, dirty, disgusting are understatement of what you can hear all around the hall way. Most students here are not as good as how they're described. There are not many very nice guys. OK now we talk a little bit about the teachers. Teachers are available after school for extra help. Teachers are enthusiastic on their job in general. However, some teachers are kind of apathetic about answering students' question and some others even make fun on some particular students (at least their behaviors make me think so). Having a good teacher is like winning a lottery. And then I want to talk about the intensity of their curricula. The Christian school that I used to attend was very strong at English so their English CP are pretty easy for me. Don't forget this is an all-boy school and over 800 students, which means the hallway is EXTREMELY CROWDED between classes. The 3-minute break between classes worsens this situation. Be prepared to be pushed back and forth when changing classroom.

Bergen Catholic is one of the finest high schools in the state.They teach quality education, great lay teachers, Brothers etc. This school prides itself on God, Academics and everytrhing else. Many of the students who come are not Cathloic because they teach respect for everyone. Their results speak for themselves. My son got a great education, went on to Middlebury , Harvard Med and s a wonderful huiman being today because of the outstanding foundation he received at BCHS. The best investment a parent can make in the Bergen area is to send your son to Bergen Catholic, nothing compares.
