Horrible school. None of the teachers are certified

My three kids attend St. John’s school and I couldn’t be happier with the education they are receiving. One of my kids has special needs and I received so much emotional and social support in ensuring he is treated as an equal and receives the same education as his classmates.

We LOVE Saint John School. The teachers care about their students and go above and beyond to make sure students have a personalized instructional experience. Students receive the perfect balance of innovative and classical instruction- teaching important skills from yesterday while incorporating new strategies and technologies of today. The school also offers so many wonderful extracurriculars that allow all kids to be well-rounded and shine in their interests. Most importantly, Saint John's Catholic formation is a vital part of the school community that not only teaches students about their faith, but also helps them live Christ's teachings. SJS is a wholesome environment that provides students with a positive social emotional experience, allowing students to safely learn and grow to be Christ's ambassadors to the world. My children love this school.

The Pre-k program and elementary school are excellent. I have three young children enrolled and am thrilled by the smaller class sizes. I love that St. John's offers beforecare and aftercare. The teachers clearly care for the children and the curriculum is guided by a solid Catholic foundation. I'm happy with our experience so far!

Great school! My Daughter loves it and she loves her PreK teacher. There are so many great things happening like Catholic Schools Week, Christmas around the world etc. Students can grow not only academically but also spiritually thanks to weekly adoration and First Friday masses. I highly recommend this school.

The school is a shadow of what it used to be. The teachers are all relatively new, and have very little experience - these are not the teachers who built the SJS of yesteryear. Those strong teachers have all left the building. Families have left in droves in 2022; strategy and discipline are non-existent. Sadly, the education one used to expect from is no longer offered.

All schools have experienced challenges related to our recent pandemic. How a school manages these challenges is an indication of its strength andCommitment to education of our children. It’s never perfect, however, as long as progress is directionally correct, it is, in my belief, a strong school. St. John School remained open during the crisis and adapted to a blend of in-school and home schooling. I couldn’t be more proud how the school responded. There are still areas of improvement that can be made and I see these being addressed. I’m proud to be a grandparent of a student there and I support this school whenever and however I can and I highly recommend it to any inquiring parent

This used to be a good school, but has withered significantly as of late. Behavior is no longer something which is managed, the administration lets it manage them. Respect is no longer a core value, nor is it demanded by much of the staff. There is no oversight of the administration, nor is their a board providing access for the parents. Sadly, you can more readily find families which used to go to this school than a family who still has someone enrolled.

My kids really like the school. Mother is such a great principal and it is a Family atmosphere with very good education program.

I am very disappointed with the academic standards of St. John. My son has fallen behind in many subject due to the scattershot curriculum employed by his teacher. He will be returning to public school and hopefully has not fallen too far behind his peers.

The search for the perfect school for my children ended when we toured St. John School. There was a feeling at this school, that you couldn't name, but you could feel it. It felt like coming home to us. The love for education and the traditions of the Catholic Church are very obviously present here. Here, the basic truth of our soul's natural love and desire for God and to know Him better is fostered. This was not only lacking in my children's public school system, instead often discouraged. The difference in my children was apparent the first month they attended the school at St. John School for the first time this past fall. They went from looking overtired at the end of a loud public school day, to coming out of school with smiles and excitement to tell me all about their day. When I asked my older daughter what the difference was for her, she told me: "Mom, it's so fun, but also, all of the kids pay attention, listen to the teacher, and it's quiet. I can learn more".

I recently graduated from Saint John and now attend a local catholic high school. Due to the excellent education which i received at Saint John I scored in in the top two of all those who took the placement test. Because of this scored I received a half tuition academic scholarship. This is the highest award given to incoming freshman. I also placed into Geometry honors as a freshmen. Many of my other classmates were also able to place into geometry and other honors courses. Saint John instills a love of learning in its students. We always loved coming to school everyday to learn something new. Students are also taught to respect their teachers and their peers. As I have moved on to high school I have realized how much Saint John truly taught me. Not only have I excelled in most of my classes but i use the skills i learned at Saint John in all of them. In high school the writing skills which I learned there were imperative. The most important skill which I learned at Saint John was public speaking. From a young age, Saint John students get started in public speaking. Eventually we all became comfortable speaking in public. I am thankful as many of my friends from other schools are not comfortable with public speaking.Saint John is an amazing place and well worth the tuition. Alumni excel in high school and beyond. I would recommend Saint John to anyone considering putting their child here. Students are taught to stand by their strong moral code, respect others and are determined to do their best. By the time they graduate, students have made life long friends here. My class still keeps in touch and have supported each other even after leaving Saint John. However i believe that it is the love of learning which is the most important gift which Saint John gave me.

Our daughter has just graduated from 8th Grade at St. John School. After a total of 11 years here, and many amazing memories and friendships, our family agrees that we wouldn't change a thing! It was the best decision whtat we've made in our children's lives so far. We are blessed to have been part of the St. John family, for that is truly what the school is to us - an extended part of our family. Fortunately, we still have 4 years to go with our son!

My oldest started St. John School in Pre-K 3 and is now in 1st grade. We love the teachers, curriculum, and the overall success that my son has achieved in his first 4 years at St. John. At St. John School, it is about the children and not the end of year data!

This is our sixth year at St.John School and the feeling I have when I drop both my sons off is amazing! I know they will be asked to be the best version of themselves that they can be. All the children look after each other and are taught that to do for others is essential. The education is far more than I could have hoped for - it is challenging and taught with so much commitment from the teaching staff. Thank you to everyone for making this a real second home for our family.

St. John School is absolutely incredible. I attended the school from Pre-K 3 to 8th grade, and my time was full of education, faith, and joy. St. John shaped my morality, my belief and trust in God, and ultimately prepared me for the private, Catholic preparatory high school that I attended. St. John School truly taught me to be kind and view others through God's eyes. My family and I are so thrilled with the school that we sent my sister there when she turned three (she is now in second grade) and we continue to volunteer as much as we possibly can.

Decent school. Some teachers are wonderful, including an amazing art teacher. Single class per grade. Some of the parents are wonderful at accepting new families.

I could not be more pleased with this school. Our child is heads above her public school counterparts and is ahead of a cousin who attends school one grade higher in "one of the best school systems in the state." The parents are very supportive of each other; it is easy to become involved in your childs' education here. The teachers and the administration are approachable and helpful. I am very glad we made the decision to send our child here.

Second child to go through this school from pre -school up. Challenging in a positive way. Prepares them well for high school.

My children are completing their second year at St. John School and we could not be more happy with their progress, both academically, socially and spiritually. The teachers and entire staff at St. John's go above and beyond the call of duty to fully educate each and every child. Expectations in schoolwork and behavior are very high and the children rise to meet them. The art, music, technology and physical education programs are exceptional. These children leave St. John's extremely well prepared for high school and beyond. It is truly a remarkable experience!
