I am new to district and my children love this school! My kids always come home and tell me the wonderful things they are doing, which they never did before! My children get so much support in the classroom, which is important as one child is a struggling reader. The special educator and reading teacher were right on it and helped my child make so much growth, now they are ready for the middle school. However, I am nervous sending my oldest to the middle school now, I am not sure they will get the same support there, and, I think 4th is too young to send them! The principal is supportive and has a positive and strong presence within the school and community! I look forward to a few more years with my youngest at this school.

The majority of the teachers are excellent, but there are few ones you hope your child will not get. The principal is very outspoken, likes to take center page, is very involved, but does not listen to the parents' opinion. Unless a child has a significant disability the school will not likely acknowledge that there is a problem so it does not have to provide meaningful help.

I am a parent of a 1st grader and I have not experienced the CMTs yet, however, I do know that many schools do teach to some degree to the CMTs b/c of federal funding concerns. It is unfortunate that the previous parent and her children have had such issues. I will say that so far, our experience has been great. They recognized some early learning issues for my child and got right on it. They also listened and acted on my concerns of his verbal development. The teachers, administration (esp. Dr. Beekley) and support staff have been nothing but supportive to my son.

I am very disapointed in this school. The teachers have one concern,CMT scores. Children are just taught how to pass CMT tests. Special education is pushed, and the arrogance is unbelievable. Thank god my daughter who was scheduled for special ed received in the top 1% in the reading CMT. How humilating to a child to be told they are below average when it turns out the are not. Now that she is in Middle school she is finally being judged on her work. The same scenerio is now being played out with my second daugher.

By far the best school I've ever seen! The children are valued and appreciated. They celebrate all the children and encourage them to grow and bloom. I have all 3 of my children there this year and feel so immensely blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of this community & this school. We are a military family and move quite often. And the principal has been nothing but helpful and encouraging to me and my family.

I feel as though the previous committment was very unfair. The principal often refers to: "its all about the kids". She has strong leadership skills and there are many programs for the children at all levels. Each child level is great improved yearly.

The teacher's themselves try to very helpful but unfortunately follow the princiapal's lead and become rude when she is present. In meetings the principal is a very "me, me, me" type person primarily concerned with her personal reputation opposed to the best interest of students. As someone who has worked in a corporate environment for a number of years I would never have considered putting the word leadership and this principal in the same sentence. If she moves on this could be a great school.
