The students have a major issue of the five finger discount and lying after taking another's items that is still an issue 3 months into the school year and not being resolved. The parents are not allowed to know what's in the common core/concept awareness curriculum. As a parent you can't log in and review all there work to see what's going on with there education so if your a hands off don't care what there learning or what there being taught then this school is for you! If they hand write an assignment, after it's graded your child is not allowed to keep it or to show you. Thus school provides a lot of time for kids to socialize tho and free food to kids enrolled. Be prepared to be forced to supply school items for a strangers child and to keep replacing your child's that will keep getting stolen.

This school is a parents worst nightmare. There is zero communication between the school and parents, I have called in and personally gone in on numerous occasions, asking the school to communicate with me ( send home my daughter's homework she has completed, let me know when parent teacher conferences are, etc.). The response I got was either " well, there are messages on the sign out front", log onto your parent portal ( which is a joke in itself), and, the principal Mr. Brown told me with regards to her school papers and homework " well, we give the children the choice to bring their papers home, or throw them away. And believe me, the trash cans are full each day". Then to top it off, the school now issues iPad to the students, instead of text books. So basically as a parent, you don't have a Damn clue what your child is doing in class. And to top it off AGAIN, the school let my ex take my daughter from school, and then come back the following week and CHECK her out of school. It took me two months to get her back. I had to actually tell the receptionist at the front desk that yeah....if someone come to school and takes someone else's kid....ya might want to call that parent and let them know....at least....

This is the worst school ever, very disorganized. The office workers are very rude and not helpful.

I am so amazed of the teachers who help the children here. The second you come on the grounds you feel it. The principal is awesome. I was told by the superintendent of Delta schools, when looking I was making sure of my decision. I was told Montrose school system is much lower than Delta, but that is on the contrary. My child has had an exceptional year. Montrose school's are preparing all of our kids for a good future. Olathe Middle school 3 cheers !!!!!

I think overall the teachers at this school are top-rate. I think that the students need to get with the program by taking more responsibility of their own education. The teachers work hard to help the students learn, but ultimately it is a team effort between the teachers and the students.
