Very much an area that is bias and receives special treatment because they know or are related to school teachers/officials. I do not think they really put much emphasis on education. Attendance is low and partially I believe due to the fact that they allow no structure for late or absenteism but then have ridiculous rules on not bringing a pencil to class. They do not listen to parents concerns and instead of dealing with major issues like bullying at school or on the buses, they rather shoo it away or blame all parties involved.

so much bullying and the teachers lecture more than teach. I don't recommend it. Very bad influences too. My son vapes and has bad grades and he used to be a very good kid before he went here. I took him out of this school.

We are new to the community and in our second year at DMS. We have found the school admin, teachers, and students to be very warm and welcoming. Staff in the office and the cafeteria have been friendly and helpful in answering all our questions. My student enjoys all of his teachers and coaches and feels very positive about the learning environment, curriculum, class assignments and grading practices. He has a good mix of core courses and electives. The class work could be more rigorous, and I think it will be in the future, but we arrived here in Oct 2020, at the height of the Covid pandemic. DMS has been a wonderful experience these past 2 years.

The principals were raised around here and they need to go to others schools in Colorado or the United States where they will not be bias. The are not helpful, a good kid getting caught up, is the one blamed. If the principals were moved somewhere else they would not have good ole boy mentalities.
