St. John's was a wonderful school for my children. St. John's is strong academically. I feel that my children were very well prepared for their educational journey. The faculty and staff were amazing. The family atmosphere was always inviting. I would recommend St. John's to anyone looking to have their child in a strong academic school.

The head of school is not helpful when there is a dispute or concern raised of any type. Many of the board members are of the same vein. This is not a place where thinking and growing is encouraged. You must fit the mold and should your child be different in anyway you will be asked to leave.

I am so grateful that my kids have had the opportunity to attend this school and to learn from the terrific educators who teach here. Our experience has been nothing short of a blessing. The 4th grader I mentioned above who was struggling with reading is now taking AP classes in high school and is ranked in the top 5% of his class. St.John’s students leave with a strong foundation in core curriculum and a well rounded experience in fine arts. These students leave feeling confident and comfortable with public speaking and leadership skills. They leave prepared to handle any situation with Christian values. When my oldest son had gone as far as he could at St.John’s at it was time to transition him to public school, every staff member I encountered said, “Oh, we LOVE St.John’s kids!!”.

I love St John’s, we’ve never had a problem with the teachers or staff. My daughter loves going to school, as she should at her age. School should be engaging & fun learning atmosphere.

We have been at St. John’s for 7 years and have been so pleased with not only what our children have learned but also the people they are becoming. The teachers would do anything to help my kids and are open to communicating through any issues that may come up!

We have had the most incredible expierience soaring with the eagles. I believe the legacy that is St. John’s has been passed on to my child.

Our experience at St. John's has been amazing. Being a part of this school is like being part of a family. Just like a family, not every single thing about the school is perfect, but I am so thankful for the experience my child is having here. We love the academics, the amazing teachers that love our kids as much as we do, the experience of going to chapel and learning from Father Jackson (he is THE ABSOLUTE BEST), and the sense of community our children learn. There were times I was hesitant to have my child at a small private school, but I have been so thankful countless times in the 6 years that we made the choice to go here.

We have had our child here for 5 years. The hands on approach is superb. The classrooms are small. The kids love being around each other and the teachers!

In the beginning, I thought the school was going to be a long-term school for us. However, for such a small school they do have some issues that are not properly handled. I personally believe it starts at the top with the principal, due to the fact that she is not a people person. If you want someone to be a leader at your school, then you need someone who should be that person.

The academics are poor and the principal is not a quality individual. Her handling of a situation with my Pre-k son was unprofessional and provocative.

My family has been involved at St. J's since 2010. A very positive place for children. Excellent faith and academic formation. Highly recommend!

I withdrew my child from the school last Fall to attend a new Tech elementary school in the area. The school could not provide my child with the help she needed with her learning disabilities. I received a call from the office upon withdrawing her that I needed to come sign some forms. When I went up there, there were no forms. Instead, it was a ruse so that the principal could talk to me. The principal told me that I needed to be wary of this new school. That my child was going to be used as a guniea pig. That because it was supported by the university here they were just liberals. I was completely apalled. I was lied to in the first place to even be brought up there. Secondly, the principal was completely inappropriate. She had only been the principal for a couple of months. She was the second grade teacher before that. She never even taught my child! She had no right to say those things. I knew I had made the right decision in taking my child elsewhere. This principal should not be leading children if these are her values. In my opinion she is only the principal now because her mother was the principal before her. My child has flourished in the new Tech elementary that opened. The academics and teaching are far better than this school.

The New headmaster in 2013 - 2014 was verbally and emotionally abusive to students and faculty. A number of the student body and teachers left to go to other institutions. The board was unresponsive throughout the year to parent complaints. The principal was only removed 2 weeks to the close of the school year. The new headmaster was a St. John's teacher who has no administrative experience. She does not adhere to Christian values when dealing with parents or conflict. The math curriculum is poor. Regardless of complaints from several junior high principals over the past decade regarding poor Math skills of students having attended St. John's, the curriculum has not been enriched. Given the low quality curriculum, withdrawal of longtime students and teachers who quit and the lack of qualified administration, I do not recommend this school. My son will not be returning to this school.
