My kids have attended Libby since Preschool and thru this journey we have met the most supportive teachers and staff. This year 2024 as I got more involved in the Libby community, I have meet the most support staff. Mr. Carrasco and his team makes you feel welcoming. If you reach out they help you look for solutions. As an ELAC parent, I see how much support and help they provide for our ELAC students. You see the students enjoying coming to school. The Libby community is very supportive at school events and as a parent who meet other parents across that as you continue to interact with they become a friend.As a parent a seemed my kids grow not just academically but socially.

Libby Elementary is a hidden gem with students who are happy and eager to learn. Administrators are very caring and nurturing toward the students and staff. The school principal and assistant principal go above and beyond to reach the kid's needs, whatever they might be. Fun fact, there is a food forest and over 20 garden beds. One can tell that the social-emotional learning of students is a key component to Libby's success. Teachers are passionate about their careers and bring years of experience to the classroom. Those who serve the school in a non-teaching role seem to enjoy what they do. High expectations for a well-rounded education are key and evident at Libby. As a proud teacher, I am aware of my student's needs in order to succeed. It is an honor to teach at Libby Elementary.

I went to Libby for seven years (K-6) and even though it's not in the best area and doesn't have the best resources, the teachers here are the most caring I have ever met, and I am now a freshman at UCLA. These teachers really engage with the students and are aware and understanding of the difficult home situations some of the kids in this area have. They're willing to go the distance to help struggling kids. Every single teacher I knew there took money from their own pockets to supply their students with the things they needed for class - things some families couldn't afford. $20,000 for Libby will supply these teachers with the resources they need to help the at-risk students here.
