This is our 2nd year at this school and am happy with the close-knit family atmosphere.

I worked here for two years. There are some issues due to it being such a small school (they can't offer everything a regular school can), but the staff are really dedicated, Mrs. Axson is a great principal, and the family atmosphere is awesome.

I absolutely love Marion charter school! I adore the "family feeling" that you receive from the teachers and staff. The principal, Ms. Axson, is extremely friendly and compassionate and all of the faculty is very involved and helpful if there are ever any issues that come up (my son has had a difficult time settling into kindergarten.) The guidance counselor, Ms. Wells, is great about keeping parents up to date and keeping the kids on track, she's awesome! I couldn't ask for a better kindergarten teacher. Ms. Dillingham has been amazing and is a top notch educator. We're definitely going to miss her when my son goes to first grade! I'd definitely recommend this school to anyone who values an education beyond just academics and believes that a small class/school size and individual attention would benefit their child. I can't say enough about Marion charter!

I have had all three of my children attend this school, each with thier own special needs. My oldest has SLD and two young children are gifted this school found wonderful ways to allow all of my children to grow and learn that with a little work and dream can and will be obtained.

My child attended this school a year and a half ago. We removed him from our home public school and placed him here. It was wonderful and exactly what he needed after being beaten down confidence wise in our home school. The principal is a remarkable, compassionate woman who really advocated for my child. The 3rd grade teacher was a blessing and the fact that they teach to the student as a whole rather than a focus on being the perfect "A" student as our home school did was very rewarding. My child went from D's and C's in our home school to the honor roll here and it had everything to do with nurturing and instilling confidence. My only wish is that the school had more resources/funding because it could do amazing things! Transportation became an issue or we would have placed our child there again the following school session.

I hate this school !!!! During this year alone , they have taken away Recess (temperarely ), lunch is disgusting, and no security. There also isn't a proper parent pick-up station . If you're one of the students, you have to sit outside in the scorching Florida heat , since there is nocanopy to cover you. Another thing is a terrible Physical Education program. There is no P.E. teacher, so the teachers do it. And usually they just do it if they want to. The good thing in my opinion about MCS is the staff members. Even though it's the smallest school I've ever seen, it is full with big loving teachers.
