I enjoyed my time at freedom high school! ROP career electives gave me a great opportunity to find what route i wanted to take during and after college. Some great teachers that provide a safe space, and amazing spirit events. This is the high school that will develop your childs character and show what they have learned about life! Do not let students giving it a bad reputation ruin your childs experience.

Had 4 children go through. 3 under the current principal. The oldest had issues which were ignored and she became extremely depressed. The 2nd one said fights started happening a lot more by the time he was a senior. The 3rd child was bullied badly with no help from the staff. They only worked with us to get him back to class. As soon as I mentioned transferring to another school they stopped working with us. The 4th one graduates this year.

My daughter just finished her Freshman year and had a wonderful experience. They have a wonderful Freshman Boot Camp program that really helps new students navigate their way around campus and feel welcomed! Campus security, Teacher & Administration is top notch. Freedom offers so many sports & clubs to fit any students needs. No matter what race, religion or sexual orientation a student is, they will feel right at home with students and staff! My daughter is looking forward to the next 3 years at FHS! Go Falcons!

As a student athlete I am quite busy. Although, the teachers (at least the ones I've had) have been very understanding about late work or needing extra help on a lesson. The athletic program is good in my opinion, with a variety of sports ranging from wrestling to tennis and coaches who push you to be your best. That being said, the school does have more than the average amount of fights and False fire alarms. Although, freedom still remains a safe environment due to the watchful security and teachers.

Freedom High has the potential to be a great school although its potential alone should not be mistaken as excellence. This school's faculty and administration needs reshaping in the area of discrimination policies. Freedom has a vast share of awesome teachers and administrators but on the other hand, it also has its quantity of biased teachers and staff. This school needs restructuring in other areas as well...such as the areas of bullying, repeat offenders in tolerated fighting, school safety, and security. Another thing, my son (who is highly athletic and scholastic) was discriminated against by a few of Freedom's football coaches. I have NEVER been through so many drastic issues like I've experienced with this school's athletic department. The coaches were able to predict that another African American athlete will definitely be a true success and they had to put a stop to allowing him the opportunity towards scholarly achievement.

As an incoming parent of a new student, coming into the office for the very first time with many questions, I was very frustrated upon leaving. The front desk person was rude and her answers to my questions were very vague. The registrar was even more rude, when told there was an incoming sophmore her response was "what about him?" right in front of me! As a family that is new to the city and school, they should understand how stressful moving and beginning a new school can be. At this point based on the office experience alone, I will drive my son 4 cities away to his current highschool. Very sad staff would have attitudes such as this, especially when they are the first impression of the school to newcomers

Freedom High School has a student centered environment. The campus is always abuzz with activities. Teachers collaborate on a regular basis to prepare a rigorous curriculum and prepare students for the future. Admin is supportive of students, teachers and the community. Academics are on the rise as we prepare for common core.
