This school does not s you port or encourage teachers to make students feel comfortable in a classroom setting!

There are a few good teachers, but overall the students are just on an assembly line for their education. Parental involvement is not encouraged anymore either.

OJUSD does not believe in inclusion and continues to violate IDEA and LRE federal laws. All children deserve to be included in a gen-ed class with their peers. It is very sad that this district continues to segregate their special needs students and violate their rights.

We have had 3 children at Sierra View and all have had excellent teachers. The band and choir programs and school plays offer an even greater opportunity for students to develop talents along with PE experiences. This school is committed to excellence and rewards children for doing well academically, as well as those who excel in reading, arts, and athletics.

Sierra View is an excellent school with dedicated teachers who not only teach and guide but prepare students for life. My daughter began Sierra View the first year it opened and will be leaving it for Jr. High this year. She has been taught how to learn, help, teach and lead from the staff and teachers at Sierra View and we will miss this school and it's environment. KJ

It is a great school with engaged faculty. Everyone of my kids has had great teachers who are not just trying to teach the kids but also to develop them to be great kids with good socialization skills.

Sierra View seems more like an extended family atmosphere than a place to go to work. The Parent Teacher Club is active, creative, and welcomes others to join their organization. They work tirelessly to provide opportunities for the students and resources for the staff. The administration has high expectations for student achievement and behavior and is supportive to the classroom teachers.

Our school is a place where children can feel cared for and where learning is an everyday goal. All of the staff and parents are there for the children in a warm, involved, concerned way. There's laughter and humor, but there are also expectations and standards. Children grow and learn as staff members and parents observe with pride!

Sierra View has a staff of well-qualified, caring teachers who go above and beyond the bounds of teaching duties to assist their students.

Office staff has very unacceptable atitude toward the 'other-parent'!! They need to learn the law, and how to conduct a professional workplace. The teaching staff is well above average!!! Outstanding. Don't be fooled staff by manipulating fathers!

My three kids (1st-4th) have attended Sierra View Elementary school since it first opened in 2005. The school has an outstanding PTC that actively puts on fundraisers, school plays, family fun nights, and book fairs. Since it first opened, the school's jogathon has exceeded its fundraisng target every year! Sierra View was also a recent CA Distinguished School award recipient. From administrators to teachers to staff to parent volunteers, they all work together to provide a positive learning and nurturing environment for their students. Sierra View is a wonderful school, because it goes beyond teaching the required curriculum but also provides many enrichment programs (e.g. music, choir, GATE, Ag Day) to help our students become more well-rounded individuals. I give Sierra View 5 out of 5 stars!
