The school is fun because you get to socialy interact with friends, but recess and lunch should be longer

I am a current student and am struggling to understand the view point of the teachers. They find it is okay to threaten us which i simply don't get, also they think that yelling without reason is okay which I do not appreciate. Not the best choice.

Some teachers are great but overall 0 out of 5 stars.

Terrible experience at this school- we left and are much happier at our new school. My children struggled to keep up at the new school because Assumption's curriculum is behind. They had a high turnover rate and the teachers there had very outdated teaching styles. Some of the office staff were rude and unorganized and they have had several principals quit over the few years we were there. So happy we decided to move our kiddos to a new school

Great school. My girls are learning about faith. Teachers have been so helpful and helping my girls to be good students. They have great communication with parents.

We love the administration, teachers, staff and community. Wonderful environment for our children! We couldn’t be happier.

My daughter attends this school. We moved to the area over the summer and I was very nervous for her to start a new school. I was worried about whether or not she'd even enjoy a private school. She struggles a bit with reading and writing but her teacher and the school staff have been so supportive of us. The provided me with a lot of wonderful and fun ideas to help get her excited for reading and so far they have been working. They also have her in a reading program a few days throughout the week. They talked to me about it before placing her in the program and made sure that that would be something of interest to me. I love their consideration to the families. The communication between my daughter, myself and the teacher has been a blessing. Students, fellow parents, and the staff have all been so kind and so understanding. I'm a single mom. We aren't wealthy by any means. In fact we are considered poverty. And private schools can get a stigma for being a bit uppity. That is not the case here. Everyone is kind to everyone and every type of person here. I couldn't ask for a better school for my daughter and she loves Assumption too. I didn't rate the bullying as "strongly agree" but only because we haven't even experienced bullying here! =D

My son attended this school for a few months and I was extremely disappointed with the school. They want well conditioned students and if your child is not they have no problem asking you to leave. They want high dollar but at the same time show No effort to earn that tuition you are paying. The faculty lacks in communication and is very dishonest they lead my family on. Not what I would Call a "catholic school" because what they have done is extremely shady and dishonest. Strongly suggest a different school .

My children didn't attend for long. We experienced extremely high teacher turnover rates, intolerant leadership, class sizes of 30, PE just one hour a week, lack of supervision and appropriate activities during recess, inability to make accommodations, and some outdated teaching styles. There are good aspects to the school as well...some caring teachers and students, faith based, several specials, and now new buildings. We wanted our kids to attend here, and were disappointed that it didn't work out.

My children left Assumption when we moved away. They were on par academically in Math and Science, but were far below grade level expectations in Reading and Writing at their new school. Assumption offers many opportunities for "specials" but they take too much time away from core subjects in my opinion. I loved the community and my children always felt welcomed socially.

I have known a number of families who relocated or just transferred out over the years for different reasons and most found that there children were behind after attending Assumption. We are staying but only because we have so little time left.

Disappointed with a capital D. Some of the teachers try, but poor behavior hampers their work.

I have five grandchildren. Two are in Assumption, two in an Illinois catholic grade school and one in an Illinois public middle school. We visit each three times a year for 2-3 weeks. First, I must say my daughter and her husband really like the school. However, they only notice that their children are happy with the school and the sports there. As a former middle school teacher I notice that the academics are not as rigorous as what my other grandchildren experience and not where I think they should be.
