I did not want to write a bad review because daughter and my grandson still goes to the school . But i am going to write about Dr. Sierra the school principle there is no help at all when it becomes to bullying at this school, she completely does not do anything about it she ignores the situation. I spoke to her a few times and she keeps telling me that she will have them monitor by the school staff but never stops i am saying this because i went to her so many times wrote her a letter she completely ignore my letter and the bullying keeps happening my grandson keeps telling us that this one kid doesn't stop bothering him and hit him a few times calls him names and it was brought to the principle and also we already reported to the school district hopefully they can put a line to this situation its very frustrated for me and his mother is (my daughter) we just cant understand why is this not being controlled. I do not recommend this school when it becomes to situation like this that no one does anything to stop the bullying.

We moved here from Culver City and I was questioning the education my kids would receive. The school has been a delight, with many talented teachers and caring staff. We are happy we decided to join the Dolland family!

My children have had a great experience at Dolland in their dual immersion program. They entered the program unable to speak Spanish and are now fluent. Their teachers have gone above and beyond. During conferences they have provided resources to support my children in their areas of growth. I am a working parent and I've had constant communication with all teachers. School activities have been great. They have a yearly after school Halloween event, Santa visit and Dolland Fiesta. There are also multiple fundraising nights throughout the school year. I appreciate that they have after school activities that our family can attend. Most working families are unable to participate during the day. Having after school activities allows us to be involved. I do wish more parent meetings were held in the afternoon. During the school day my children have participated in the following activities: Read Across America Week, Jog-a-Thon, Chargers (Football Team), Dairy council farm cow, Firemen and a helicopter visit. They have also attended various field trips to: El Dorado Park and Farm. Character development is also supported at Dolland. Children receive lanyard tags during their Husky Rally. These tags have words like: responsibility, kindness and honesty. This has been one of children's favorite acknowledgements to receive. I'm personally not a huge fan of lots of homework. I know some families are. Here you will not go a day without homework. I wish the school was more active about sharing all the awesome things happening at Dolland. Possibly being more active on various social media platforms to keep the community up to date on what's happening at the school. I also wish they would share the recent acknowledgements they've received. Possibly update banners to spread the word throughout the community. Overall, we have been very happy with everything happening at school. We feel it's a well rounded school. My children have loved school and their teachers from the beginning.

I recently had to move and was truly saddened that I had to move my son too. I was in one of the best school districts in the State. So when I came over to Dolland, it was a big difference for me, and for my child. The school could use a little face lift but growing up in the LAUSD I can understand why that can't happen. Funds. My child's teacher (kinder) is truly what makes this school great for me and my child. Mr. Parral. He's amazing and so interactive with the children. He's so technologically advanced and knows how to keep the kids involved. My child grew fond of him right away. It's a different feel from the previous school district, but given the resources, and given the area, seems like the school administration (and teachers!) are doing their part to make the best with what they've got. I do wish the curriculum was a little more challenging.
