Lambs Elementary has been a blessing to my students and family! As a military family, we have moved often and we have had a wonderful experience! The teachers have students best interests in mind and have excellent communication. My students were challenged and had a positive experience!

If you’re looking for a school where your child will constantly be distracted by other students with behavioral issues and are spending more time throughout the day stopping to deal with the outbursts then are learning this is your place! It’s actually extremely sad. There are a lot of teachers that I’m sure actually care about the children but this school is a disaster. Charleston County School districts progressive disciplinary plan is a joke. Children kick other children and get away with ridiculous behavior and nothing is done. At what point do behavioral children ( with an IEP or not ) hinder the learning of every other child. This entire district is a joke and they need to start being held accountable.Military families beware. If you have the option to send elsewhere I would highly recommend it.

My kids attended Lambs and came home everyday with horror stories of what it was like in class. They couldn’t focus because there were kids flipping desks over, constantly yelling at teachers and teachers always reprimanding. My kids were unable to focus and their learning was affected. The environment at this school is awful there are many emotionally disturbed children in this school and they are integrated into mainstream classes, and kids who are there to learn are suffering for it. There have been multiple teachers who have quit mid-school year because they aren’t supported by their principal with these behavioral students. They are simply taken out of class for a hour and then put back in, just to have another mental breakdown. This happens on a daily basis. Can you imagine your child’s teacher just leaving in the middle of the school year? That is a teachers last resort, to maintain some sort of sanity they have left. Military members who live on base are stuck sending their kids to this school because of the lack of other options. Not only is this school not safe, their curriculum is awful as well. I pulled my kids out of this school, best decision I ever made. They were hating school and their behaviors at home were getting worse and I didn’t understand it at first…but then my eyes were opened and it was this school that was taking the light out of their eyes.

My three kids are attending Lambs. We transitioned here from the West Coast after moving for the first time in all our lives. The Staff at Lambs from the front office, to the teachers to the administration has been kind, helpful, and beyond welcoming. The counselors are wonderful, and my kids with health concerns and neurological diversities have been accommodated quickly. I highly recommend Lambs.

We have had a great experience at Lambs! My oldest has been there for 3 years and my youngest 2 years. We have had great teachers and aides. The Principal also does a great job interacting with the students. She was on top of her game during covid and fought to keep the school open and did a great job keeping students and staff safe! They also have a great gifted program if your child is advanced! This school provides everything I expect from a school to help my children succeed!

I have experience with CD (prek), kindergarten, 4th and 5th grades. The communication is excellent from all. The school us very military kid/family friendly. Leadership is very approachable.

My twins attended Lambs from CD to 3rd grade. We were lucky to have amazing teachers from them every year. The new principal Mrs. McCarthy was wonderful and has made some great improvements. All the special area teachers are awesome. The librarian Ms. Collins is amazing and tries to make sure there’s a variety of books that all the kids like. The guidance counselor, Mrs. Stafford, deserves a medal for all that she handles there. My kids loved being able to talk with her. They also loved the military counselor Mr. Ron, he was always there when my kids needed him. Overall my children had an amazing experience at Lambs and we were sad to leave.

My kids have attended Lambs Elementary for the past 2 years. We have had many positive experiences with the school. And they were honored this year for achievement. The ratings Shown on this site I believe are not accurate to Lambs’ Current status. My kids have excelled in reading and math. And their teachers place high expectations on them. Overall experience has been Really Good. Positive atmosphere! Even with Covid the school did a great job.

Overall this school is great for our family. They provide challenging work for our sons who are above average learners. They do not tolerate bullies. The staff seems to really care about my boys.

My son went to cd1 there last year and the teachers were amazing!! The office staff are always very nice and work me as far as anything I need. They are understanding of my work schedule and I really feel like they care about the kids well being as well as their education. My daughter went to fourth grade there too and I loved hearing about everything she learns!! I highly recommend this school!!!!

Staff is and clicky and unprofessional. Primary teachers do not have compassion for 6 year olds. My child, who is in 1st grade, had a horrible experience last year. Tried to talk to the principal about the situation. She did not want to have a conference with us. Had to take drastic measures just to have a conference with the guidance teacher.

Bullying, immoral students and parents, poor and clicky staff, filthy building, cafeteria staff that is very unprofessional, etc....no wonder this school continues to decline. The CCSD, as a whole, is horrible. The military children are the ones who are educationally lifting this poor school up in test scores, morals and values. I had high hopes for this school but sadly that changed over time..the truth came out. They drag their feet on taking care of the MANY nasty and mean students and parents, and then they cater to them by offering special assistance to them! office staff is nice, so they can lure you in. The security personal at this school is not to be trusted at all. Some of the teachers are wonderful, they are fighting a loosing battle with the majority of students. They are really wasting their talents on kids and the parents who don't care and I feel bad for them. When you have a choice as to where to send you child, this is not that place. Surrounding area is in the worst & most dangerous parts of Charleston. The extras/clubs offering here is nonexistant. They offer no real PE, but sit and watch dance videos on rainy days. Waste of a child's potential and life here.

My son is in second grade at this school, and we love it. We are a military family and have the choice between this school and Hunley Park. Everyone at this school has been extremely friendly and helpful in every way. We absolutely love his teacher, Mr. Seagle. I am glad we decided to go to this school and not go by the community ratings, because we are extremely pleased. If I could say anything to help make your decision, I just wish people would give things/places a try before judging.
