I have to say that the new principal has brought life back to the campus. He holds the students accountable, but is also fun and relatable. Great experience for my kid.

NISD is very unique because most teachers live and socialize in the hilltop lakes area. The teachers are very clickish and unwelcoming to those that do not live in thier residential area. The school will lie to you and tell you they will use corporeal punishment if you sign form. But they do not use this method at all. Minority kids are allowed to run rampant without discipline. Because of this and the lack of enough teachers your child is left to influence from the worst sort of behavior. Teachers are always absent. Substitutes are in short supply. It of 40 plus hours per week the majority of this time is just babysitting for a substitute. The schools counselor and medical staff are not capable of dealing with learning disabilities such as ADHD. Trying to communicate with staff is a lost cause. Many will not even respond to your communications. Including the school board president. Overall they are not accountable to anyone. They have absolutely no set policy or procedure of how to handlen or even respond to , your complaints. Best homeschool of you find yourself in this very lacking district.
