Not great. Staff is biased and only helpful when they want to be.

Norfork Elem is a great school. Granted there are some issues as with any other school; especially in smaller communities. I believe the teachers put forth their best effort.....if I had to voice a concern it would be the principal. I do not feel she has the leadership and people skills necessary to properly perform this job. I think mabey they concentrate a little too much on the test scores and being in the top 10. I understand the importance of this placement...but there are children who perform to the best of their ablities and cannot make the top 10. Overall it is still my school of choice.

I would not recommend this school. We moved in and were told that our child should not have been passed on to the 2nd grade. They started him below his grade level in reading and never challenged him to work to his potential. They failed him. They did not keep me informed of his progress unless I requested the information. The principal never listened to my concerns and several times my son came home confused as did others in the class.
