My son attends Granby and the administration is no nonsense when it comes to bullies. I contacted Ms.Green and she met with us immediately. Our son was allowed to share his concerns in a safe space. My child has not had any more issues with that bully!

The staff at Granby Elementary truly cares about the education and direction that children take. As the school year comes to an end and my daughter is moving on to middle school, I can only pray that her next principal is as friendly and caring as Ms. Green is.

Dr. Verhappen is amazing with the students and the extracurricular opportunities like music lessons, mad scientists club, etc. are fabulous! The on-site before/after care through the YMCA is a great program. My girls are excited to go to school every day.

I’m the proud parent of two honor roll students at Granby Elementary. They have been well served by the music and drama program.

Great Norfolk school! My daughter has far exceeded what I would expect from a new first grader (reads more complex words, adds, subtracts, and multiplies). She is far above where I was at her age and I excelled at school. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and always available for parents. The principal and vice-principal are extremely involved. They know every kid by name and not just the really good or really bad kids but EVERY kid. We could afford to send our child to Norfolk Academy or Collegiate but we choose to send her here because it is such a great school.

Our son has had nurturing and caring Teachers while attending this school. His experience has been very good emotionally as well as academically. This school has a great environment in a tucked away location in Norfolk. The Staff has been exceptional, as well as nurturing.

My son attends the Pre-K program and has excelled with great strides because of his teacher, the educational atmosphere, and most importantly: the school provides a parent-teacher relationship environment.

I think this is a great school, but some of the students I attended with did not know how to behave. I had a great time. There were many other kids who picked on me just for fun and 'cause I am smaller than them. If you are to send your cold here it is all luck and chance on what kind of kids they will attend with. I was bullied over my size and a kid I hung out with. Pictures that were put on my desk about the kid and his buddies killing me. Sometimes it was of them pushing me off a cliff or into a fire pitt. Do send your kids here but remember this, they have great teachers but sometimes the students are bad.

My children attended kindergarten and 3rd grade at Granby last year. The teachers did a great job encouraging the kids and working with them on special interests. My 3rd grader was in Drama club, Drum club, and newspaper club. She had many creative assignments and her teacher was sensitive to her special needs. The kindergarten teacher was also extremely kind and patient with my child. The principal and vice principal were always positive and kind. We had no problems with instruction being interrupted by discipline problems ... thank goodness, because it would probably have been my kids if they did. :) There were family activities all through the year that we attended with the kids - movies, zumba, reading fairs, parents lunches, etc. Overall, I was very pleased.
