Brandywine is a small school with small budgets, but they maximize their resources. One advantage of attending a small school is that students are able to participate in many activities, teachers know all the kids, and the administrators are able to truly care about and look out for all students. It's not perfect, but I'm pleased to have a child who attended Brandywine grades K - 12.

My child attended Brandywine and never had to write a research paper after the eight grade level. My child now attends a Big Ten school, but finds that they are so underprepared for the academics there (yet graduated with a 3.96 GPA from Brandywine). It is sad to hear my child say, the great disappointed in their high school and the teachers who did not teach to the state Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE's). When he said, "If I could shut down Brandywine, I would.", it made my heart break thinking the decision to send him there is one I could have prevented!

I am sorry to say that I have not had such a great experience with my child who has a learning disabiliy. The school seems content to let him fail. He has received little to no support and I have been treated with little respect.
