My child has attended since second grade. There has been more support and communication than I could have asked for to assist in the growth and developmnet of my child. The opportunities to explore and learn are tremendous.

I have attended The Episcopal Academy since pre-k when it was located in Merion. The school's rich traditions and moral code (The Stripes) greatly shaped my childhood. By learning and growing up beside many of the same kids a strong bond is formed that's lasts through The Upper School. The community at EA is extremely supportive and inclusive as it acts as a family which constantly there as a support network. As someone who has felt with illness in my family I do not believe that we would have managed to make it through they way that we did without Episcopal. This same feeling is shared throughout the community as I have talked with others who have said the same. While being at EA since pre-k has certainly been beneficial many of the strongest students have come throughout the years and have quickly been assimilated. While athletics are highly valued, I believe it is with merit. Being on a sports team or another substitute program brings students together across multiple grades and allows them to spend more time with one another than they normally could. The faculty has always been supportive and readily available for help. All of this is not to say that EA does not have its issues and I believe any school does. Currently I view most of the problems stemming from the vast amount of key administration changes which are still in the setup phase. It is difficult to learn the ropes of a school when all three heads leave (unrelatedly) and do not have the old timers to rely on. That being said I see changes coming from long time EA families who value the importance of tradition and specifically those that make EA so unique. Many of these families are multigenerational EA grads because they have had such positive experiences with the school. I think it is a common goal of people in my class to be able to send their children to an institution like EA. The chapel is a unique and pivotal part the the EA experience as it has progressed from a traditional service to one that focuses on guest speakers and hearing from individuals within EA. The personal struggles that are shared within the chapel again fortify fhe strong sense of community. EA is a truly unique school that has a lasting impact on everyone who passes through its doors even if it is for the day. It strays from stingy and snobby main line private schools by supporting diversity and living the stripes.

Attended Episcopal from grade 6 through grade 12. Hardest part about Episcopal is that it is not truly inclusive, nor is it an intellectual environment.I was bullied harshly in middle school, and after my parents complained they suggested I was "not a great fit" and did not investigate the claim.Only a minority of teachers hold advanced degrees. Many do not have much curiosity about their subject. When I went to an Ivy League college, I was shocked by the higher quality of instructors. All my professors were glad to see my enthusiasm and even glad when I disagreed with them. At Episcopal disagreeing with a teacher was generally frowned upon. For type A personalities who like sports and want to fit in, Episcopal is good. But it totally lacks intellectualism and people like me (top student but did not fit the mold) are not treated well there. Episcopal is nowhere close to the caliber of the top boarding schools in this respect.

Rich tradition, superior scholastic achievement, values based environment and dynamic new leadership make EA tops among Philadelphia area schools.

I went to Episcopal from kindergarden through my senior year in high school and while I had my high and lows at the school and with teachers I wouldn't change my experience for the world. By far the best main line private school. Great kids, mostly great teachers, pretty good administration, great athletic department, creates great well rounded student. I graduated and went to an exclusive top-notch university and know I wouldn't be at the college I'm at now or be prepared for it without Episcopal. If you're kids can get in, send them, trust me its worst the money. Not to mention great connections for life

I've gone to episcopal since pre kindergarten and I have to advise you to NOT send your child here. The lower school is a disaster. It is such a big spread out lower school and the teachers and atmosphere is not nurturing at all. The middle school felt like an absolute prison the teachers do not care about the students and are very fed up about themselves. The upper school is terrible nobody likes it. The teachers are worse than the middle school ones. The reason they are so bad is because they don't teach the material they expect the students to figure it out on their one. The athletic program is TERRIBLE the coaches are very uninterested and very subpar. Once again I highly recommend NOT sending your child here it is NOT good for them. I know what's allying about and I'm trying to save your sons or daughters childhood. And one last thing to add us that the upper school has major drinking problems not to mention pot! Take my advice I know what I'm talking about

Episcopal is a fantastic school dedicated to developing the mind, body, and spirit of each and every child. Although the school is demanding and challenging, I enjoy every day. The teachers are dedicated to their students, and the student body is made up of great individuals. The Chapel/Religion program is unique to the school and intregal to the community and the EA experience. The sports requirements develop the body and the rigiorous academic schedule develop the mind. The extra circcular activities cater to the intrests of every student. In short, Episcopal is a fantastic school and I would reccomend it to anyone. (I am currently in highschool and have attended EA since Pre-K, and every section of the school is fantastic.)
