Great teachers but the front office needs work! Never felt welcome when dropping off my child. Front office is rude in person and when calling!

There aren't a lot of reviews that are current. This is the first year here with two kids attending. The boys are being taught by great teachers and learning at an appropriate level. We have had no issues with other kids being jerks. Although we have boys that aren't really in love with being inside and doing school work, the school has made it a good experience for them and they have matured as students thanks to the teachers and staff. I can't really say anything bad about this school. The people are all very nice. They're just down to earth people. If you're looking to escape the elitism and entitled society, this is a good hard working school with good people and teachers that look out for your kids.

We have just returned to Arnco after a brief, horrible experience at a charter school and my child couldn't be happier to be back. Let's just say that we had nothing to compare Arnco to before this and boy do I appreciate the caring staff at the school now in a whole new way. I was told that the academic standards at this other school were so much better at the charter school, but after seeing homework from both I must say they are right inline with one another. My child will be in Reach at Arnco and but I know he is now in an environment that not only cares about his intellectual growth but his emotional growth as well.

Arnco Sargent is an amazing school! We have had 3 kids in this school for 9 years now. The principal, Mrs. Vaughan, teachers and all the staff are wonderful and honestly care about the children. They treat you like family and we can't imagine our kids being in another elementary school.

I have had 2 kids in this school. My oldest is now in middle school and my youngest is in 3rd grade. I love this school and would never imagine having my kids go anywhere else. The teachers, principal and staff go above and beyond helping the kids. You walk into the school and it has a small hometown feel.

Arnco-Sargent Elementary School is a school that is nestled between two cotton mills that several years back moved their operations overseas. The school building has grown and new subdivisions have developed on the outskirts but it is and has always been a family/community school. Every teacher and staff member in the building knows the names of each of the 400 plus students that attend. Family members are invited and welcomed to volunteer or just eat lunch any time: everyday there are parents and grandparents that eat lunch with their children. There is no doubt that the whole student is a priority: teachers have high expectations for each child focusing on education, health, manners, and safety at school as well as at home. One of Arnco-Sargent's goal is to extend parent involvement into ways to that will benefit the whole family. Providing additional parent workshops, encouraging parent education, have available materials/training that parents can use to help students at home, along with extended school days for those that are struggling.

I love this school!!! My daughter has allergies and this is her 2nd year there. She is in the 1st grade and in the REACH program. She completely excels and loves going. The teachers communicate well with me in regard to her classroom behavior and the nurse is very attentive. I love the communication, care, and passion the staff has for the children. I would not want her to go anywhere else. Being a smaller school, the teachers really know their students and go the extra mile to make learning a fun experience for the kids.

The teachers are nice and try hard to do a good job. The principal is a different story. From personal experience I have found her to be unprofessional, rude and unqualified. I practically had to beg her to even answer my questions - she would hardly speak to me. It was like she was too good to. I have to wonder how she ever got that job. Certainly there must be more qualified candidates out there. Nothing will improve until she leaves.
