This school is getting worse and worse by the years people think it looks like a good school from the outside but they have no structure no discipline. So therefore there is complete chaos. Also the principal only pitch sometimes when things get really out of control because it will possibly mess up her reputation.So she needs to be fired because she does not really do anything to help the school. That is exactly why our school does not learn anything and test scores a dropping by the minute and it is the reason why scores are so low.

Horrible. This school has failed to effectively handle issues such as bullying and the classroom sizes are huge. The learning environment is sub-par, the students are disrespectful, and gaining a decent education is nearly impossible here.

I love this school! I moved to Newark three years ago and my children have gone to Speedway since. I have seen a tremendous difference since the new administration (Buckman, Boganey, and Monroe) has started here. My students are learning more, going on more field trips, and are generally happier. I'd recommend this school to anyone in Newark.

If you are a parent who cares about your child's education do not send your child to this school. The teachers and principal are focused on giving attitudes vs. teaching. Its doesn't seem like they are interested in making sure your child learn. To me it seemed like they were more interested in doing the basic of their jobs instead of putting their heart's into it. Its impossible for any child to learn since most of the children are disruptive and the teachers are clueless on how to correct the issue.

Their is a need of more parent involvement and better PTO leadership, overall this school has come a long way the children are working harder to improve their behavior and work abilities.
