I had both of my boys at St Stephen Catholic School. When we had to move to Texas, it was hard for us to say goodbye to the school! It is a safe and family-oriented environment. The staff was committed to my kids. The principal, Mrs. Rosie Kendrick, engages with the students; she is always willing to reach out to both parents and students. St Stephen gave a great academic foundation to my boys. The school also provides extra support to students and their families if need be. My oldest one excelled academically. I particularly love their Math and Social Studies curricula. Thank you, St Stephen!

St. Stephens has been a God send for my children. My kids have, unfortunately, been at a few schools. However, no their school has reached my kids or met their individual needs like St. Stephen. At other schools, teachers didn't really connect with my kids or take the time to discover their individual needs. At St. Stephen's my kids were immediately assessed and it was determined that both were advanced, working above grade level. St. Stephens was the only school to identify this and meet them we here they were, ensuring they were appropriately challenge. Honestly, the school principal is relatively new to her position. But she is committed, compassionate, and put her students first.

The principal leadership is poor! The principle needs to improve or be removed from her position. She is very slow to respond to parents request to meet and she is disrespectfully to parents in closed door meetings. In a meeting I had with the principal, she did not want to listen to issues presented or try to come up with solutions to problems presented. Instead, she along with her front office staff collected evidence to prove our child was at fault (The school took no responsibility). I would suggest replacing the principal and front office staff. The teachers (some) and parents at the school are great and willing to work together for the good of the students, but there is only so much they can do under poor leadership. Due to poor leadership, I give this school a rating of 1 star.

THIS IS MY SON FIRST YEAR HERE AT ST.STEPHEN AND HIS LAST. THIS SCHOOL IS A JOKE IT IS WORSER THEN SOME PUBLIC SCHOOLS, IN OUR CITY.THE SCHOOL HAS GOING DOWN TREMEDOUSLY. THE PRINCIPAL CLAIMS TO BE COMPASSIONATE AND UNDERSTANDING BUT IT IS A FRONT. MY SONS 3RD GRADE TEACHER, MRS. ROLLINS IS A JOKE SHE HAD 14 STUDENTS IN HER CLASSROOM AND ALL SHE DID WAS TEXT PARENTS ALL DAY ABOUT WHAT THEY CHILD WAS NOT DOING. POOR CLASS ROOM MANGEMENT SKILLS. I FEEL THIS YEAR WAS TRULY, A WASTE OF MONEY,NOW I HAVE TO TEACHER MY CHILD WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IN 3RD GRADE. BASED UPON ON THE GRADE LEVEL EXPECATATION. I BELIEVE IF YOU HAD 14 CHILDREN IN YOUR CLASS ROOM, EACH CHILD SHOULD BE EXCELLING. NEXT YEAR SHE WILL BE TEACHING 2ND A TRANSITIONAL CLASS WISH MEAN CHILDREN WORK AT A SLOWER PACE WITH ADDITIONAL WORK , ANOTHER JOKE ,IF MRS. ROLLINS COULD NOT HANDLE 14 CHILDREN ,DO YOU THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE A SLOWER PACE CLASS.. IF YOU OR PAYING PARENTS SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. IT IS TIME TO EXPOSE THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT ST.STEPHEN SCHOOL MANY CHILDREN WHO LEAVE HERE OR SO FAR BEHIND ACADEMICALLY. SO DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE ESPECIALLY NOT FOR, $54OO IT IS TRULY NOT WORTH

This School needs NEW leadership, and office staff. The teachers that are doing the good jobs are being let go, there is no parent involvement. When you ask the principal to return your calls she does it on her on time and that means it never happens unless you complain every day! No second language, and PTO( Co-Opt) meetings there are more teachers and staff than parents, i went to the only one they had last school year 2010-2011 and maybe 6 parents came that evening. there were no meetings this year. no fundraising, or during school activities like spirit week. They even CANCELLED teacher appreciation week! and if asked could we do something for the teacher in our kids class we were told no!
