Terrible. Just terrible. The headmaster is an awful and fake human being who says what he thinks you want hear and only cares about the families who bring in money. Ask them about their math scores and you will see how far behind they are. Unless your child is innately smart, they won’t be prepared for high school. Most classes are so small in the Middle School that it is more like tutoring sessions. Ineffective tutoring sessions at that.

StG is a warm and caring place that is filled with educators who care deeply about the children they work with. My daughter is in 8th grade and has had the most wonderful educators from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The faculty and staff know her as an individual and challenge her academically. No school is perfect, but StG will always have a special place in our hearts. If you are looking for a smaller environment where your child won't get lost in a big ocean, this is the place for them. It's a hidden gem in New Orleans.

Where to start? This school is incredibly, incredibly toxic and degrading for mental health. Everyone says to be yourself in this school, but once you try to, everyone outcasts you as soon as they realize you don't fit into their perfect little square box. As I mentioned before, this school will undeniably wear down your mental health, but it will be way, way worse if you have a mental problem. The headmaster is incredibly unqualified for more serious mental problems, very hypocritical and even makes things worse. This school also has a thing with activism, but in the wrong ways possible. They only care about more "trending" topics but don't care about it as soon as it goes away. There's so so much more.

Bullying was rampant and the online harassment was even worse. This is not a safe environment for children. Headmaster did nothing to help our daughter and we finally removed her from the school.

Have a son in 2nd who has been there since 1st grade and we love it and so does he. The teachers are phenomenal, the class sizes small, and there is so much 1 on 1 attention given that my boy is thriving (and he wasn't at another nearby Episcopal school for Pre-K and K). This school truly embraces and recognizes each student and meets them where they are at to get them to where they need to be. I wish I had sent my first born here as well.

I had three children at St George’s for many years. It was a nice school with a nice community. It's not rigorous, creative or engaging for students but it's fine for the average child. When we started there it was more competitive with other private schools. The school has changed considerably over the years and now offers admissions to anyone. Most of the time, my children complain about being bored. The materials they bring home are from standard publishers. The administration regularly told us that the school is small and that there is not enough support for staff to create a more engaging curriculum. Most of the good staff leave after a couple of years. The leadership is wholly lacking vision and communication skills.

St. George’s is a special place that truly caters each learning experience to meet a child where they are academically as well as socially and emotionally. You won’t find this anywhere else. The teachers and staff know how to build on your child’s strengths in a way that creates incredible confidence to tackle challenges. Being unique is celebrated. Children are allowed to be themselves and taught to embrace their differences.

There are many better schools in the area with far fewer problems and better tuition. My experience along with my son was terrible.

Amazing school with an amazing and supportive faculty. The community is welcoming and supportive. The students are appropriately challenged from preschool through middle school, to be their best learners and citizens! Children leave St. George's with a grounded educational background and strong self esteem.

We experienced I neffective leadership. Also when student left they were behind. The curriculum is not rigorous.

Both my children attended St. George's Episcopal School from Pre-kindergarten through the 8th grade! They benefitted from an academically rigorous and enriched curriculum. They took Talented and Gifted classes, and competed on the Robotics Team! They were both accepted to the all the most elite high schools in New Orleans. They miss St. George's, the warm, caring community and go back to visit their teachers often!

My child has attended St. George's pre-school, lower school and now attends middle school. We absolutely love St. George's! He has thrived in sports and music as well as a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum. There hasn't been a day in the last 10 years that he hasn't wanted to go to school!!

We have been at St. George's for 7 years now, and it is absolutely the BEST school for all 3 of my children. The student teacher ratio is the lowest of any school in the city, and it shows. Each child is truly valued for their strengths and gifts, and is gently nurtured and challenged in a caring but rigorous environment. There are other private schools in New Orleans who have a flashier name or reputation, but St. George's is the real deal. The school quietly prepares each child for success, while developing their character and individuality. I have recommended it to dozens of friends and colleagues, and will continue to do so long after my children have graduated!

I am so happy my wife and I selected St George's Episcopal School for four of my six children. But more importantly my children were happy and extremely well prepared for HS. My son, who was the first to attend St George's and needed resources was awarded a significant scholastic scholarship to college. My other son and daughter who graduated from St George's are doing extremely well in HS. I still have a fourth grader who is a bundle of joy and cannot stop talking about how fun St George's is. I highly recommend St George's to any one who wants their children's education top be challenging while having fun. They will learn the love of learning.

St. George's Episcopal School has been a lifesaver for my son and my family. The academics are excellent and developmentally appropriate. The faculty and administration are caring and willing to work with your family to get your child to perform to the best of their ability, academically and socially. I feel that he will graduate this school with all of the tools and knowledge he needs to succeed in a challenging high school. I could not be happier with this decision.

With two children At St. George's Episcopal School for the 4th year in a row, we are very confident to say that it is a great school. Our children love it, their progress has been astonishing. Three student visitors from Guatemala and from Germany have loved it too. It feels more like a great extended family, where children are taught important life values along with the curriculum. At St. Georges, everyone cares and it shows!

It s so important to boost a child in their early years, and St. George's could. Having access to on-site speech therapy means that our child now reads well above grade-level, and he s soaring in math. St. George s small class size and caring teachers have made a huge difference for our child. We ve enjoyed getting to know our son s classmates and their parents, and have made wonderful friends. Ultimately, academic success is a defining measure. Beyond the extra care it offers, the school s talented and gifted program is a strong draw. St. George s has a strong record of sending graduates to the city s best high schools.

Ratings can be misleading, since they are anonymous, and could have been posted by disgruntled former staff, former students, etc.,,and the very negative ones on here should be taken with a MAJOR grain of salt. As to the principal: Dr Eichberger has shaped this school with extraordinary vision and purpose. Whoever said he is past his prime and allows bullying, etc below is telling an outright lie. Student/Teacher ratio: Best in town. Look it up. Bottom line is, we have two kids here, and could not be happier. The faculty are amazing, and the kids seem more mature and bright than any other school we looked at.

I am an alum of St. George's. This was the most amazing learning environment. The teachers were so caring and were truly invested in my social, emotional, and academic success. I participated in the talented and gifted program and found this to be both an enriching and challenging experience. Upon graduating from St. George's, I was truly prepared for high school, college, and beyond! I would highly recommend this school!
