NH is a diverse, neighborhood driven school. The teachers have been great and resourceful despite the budget woes/competing salaries from other districts.

Nathan hale is a wonderful, racially and socioeconomically school in New Haven. New haven offers a variety of programs for youth. Yale pathways to science and Morse academy are fantastic.

We keep hearing about the wonderful Nathan Hale of yesterday. Too bad the Nathan Hale of today does not measure up. Bullying, cronyism, and general mediocrity is the rule while excellence has long since left the building.

Bullying and behavior problems ignored, not documented with paperwork and referrals as per New Haven Public Schools rules. Because they do this, school looks great on paper, but it is not.

Your child will never feel left out and the diversity makes this school amazing. I am a graduating student and I would not have been any happier anywhere else. This school has great teachers and a welcoming staff.

There should be a lawsuit brought against the City of New Haven. To many parents work too hard and pay more than their share in taxes to live in a community that provides a good quality education for their kids. The City of New Haven should be forced to pick up some of the tuition cost for all of those parents who have no choice but to dish out extra cash to send their kids to private schools because for what ever reason those kids cannot attend the school in their community.

My childs last school was rated 9 out of 10, Nathan Hale is 5 out of 10, this year has almost been all review of material she learned last year. The enrollment process is ridiculous. Even though you live right next to the school doesn t mean your child can go there. If your child does not get into the early pre k school then their chances of getting into the local Kindergarten are slight. The response given if your kid does not get in is don t worry it always works out. How does it work out? Your kid goes to one of the 2 out of 10 rated New Haven school or you shell out a lot of money to send them to private school. There are many programs that are only available to a few children but don t worry we will but you on a waiting list. New Haven is the worst school district we have ever seen.
