My child loves St. Edward School. He loves the sense of community and the small class size. We are very happy we are at St. Edward. The principal, teachers, and staff are excellent!

We have had 2 children attend St Edward. It has been a great experience for our kids and for us. The environment at St Edward’s allows students to grow in a safe place. Students support each other and teachers encourage students to try things that may be outside their comfort zone. There is nothing better than to see 8th graders helping pre-k or 1st graders. This is a wonderful school!!

We moved our children from Williamson County schools this year and enrolled them at St. Edward. We have been very pleased with our experience. The teachers and staff not only challenge the students academically, they teach the whole child. They are able to integrate faith into both academics and peer interactions. which is especially important in the middle school years. We are also pleased with the number of sports and after school clubs offered. The staff and families of St. Edward church and school has truly become an extension of our family.

Very pleased with the Pre-K program at St. Edward. It is highly likely we will remain through Elementary School

We have had our children here since 2018. We feel in love with the small class sizes, the sense of community that was diverse and welcoming. The teachers are fantastic and care so much about developing young minds, character, and a love Christ. The new leadership at the school has been a wonderful breath of fresh air. The convenience of location during our commute in and out of downtown to the suburbs is great for us too.

We have been parents at St. Edward since 2016. When my husband and I were relocating to Nashville, we were searching for: 1) an education where children learned reading, writing, and arithmetic, 2) a community that values other's ideas as each individual has intrinsic value made in the image and likeness of Christ, despite cultural, economical, or spiritual backgrounds, 3) a staff that was flexible and adaptable to the specific needs of my individual children, and 4) an easy commute from the downtown offices where my husband and I would be working. St. Edward has undeniably been the right choice for us. My son is an avid reader and fact finder but struggles with anxiety and impulse control. From day one, the teachers and administrators have worked with us to find the right balance for him to continue to grow academically and behaviorally to build strong relationships with his classmates and to feel included. My young daughters (Pre-K and Kindergarten) are encouraged to try new things and to grow in knowledge based on their specific level (reading, math, etc.). Every day when I pick them up, they seem happy, healthy, and looking forward to the next day. What more could you want? The church and school have undergone changes in administration in the past year (2020) which have led to significant improvement in the communication and leadership. I have been incredibly impressed with the dedication of the new principal and priest to make the school a place of welcoming and growth for each child. Transitioning amidst a pandemic is not an easy task, but they have truly done a tremendous job to keep the children safe, learning, and healthy. Further, due the 1:1 student to device ratio, any transitions from in-person to remote learning (due to student-specific quarantine) have been seamless. Go Saints!

We have been at St. Edward since 2017. It has truly become our second home. Our children wake up each morning excited to go to school. We love knowing our children are receiving a well-rounded Catholic education. Since attending school here our children have not only grown academically but spiritually. All the faculty and staff hold Christ in each of their hearts and share this everyday with our children. Everyday we give thanks for St. Edward School.

We have been a part of SES since 2013 & could not be happier- it is a loving environment-the teachers are wonderful! The resilience & flexibility of the teachers to balance remote learning & face to face classroom experiences has been impressive. I am happy in particular with the well rounded curriculum that includes service to the community, music, art, and technology. I could not imagine being anywhere else.

Our students have been enrolled in SES since 2018, and we continue to be impressed by the school. The teachers have been simply amazing - dedicated, inventive, nurturing, and connected. Our children have thrived academically and socially. We were able to easily connect with other families and have formed some great releationships. I love that the school offers so many extracurricular activites. For a family with two working parents, SES is a dream come true in this regard. It is so easy to have our kids involved in music, arts, dance, sports, scouts, etc. without a ton of shuffling around. The proximity to downtown and the school's location between I-65 and I-24 is ideal for commuters. Diversity in the classroom is a very important school characteristic for our family, and we love how SES serves and celebrates families of all backgrounds. The religious education has been one of the highlights of our experience. We have a new head priest for the church and school this year, who seems very dedicated to the students. My son says, "He is amazing!" We also have a new principal, who I say is AMAZING! During this very difficult year of Covid, the school has gone above and beyond to make sure our kids are in school and learning as safely as possible. I am so grateful for SES. I can't say enough good things about SES.

Overall, my experience with St Edward School has been good.

My son attended St. Edward since he was 5 years old; he learned the main basic principles of "Be your best and do what is right", now he is graduating from Duke University with double major and a minor after been accepted in different colleges like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Coastal Carolina, Roger Williams University, etc.In my personal opinion there are no good or bad schools, good or bad teachers, what there are are creative children, our children, with an enormous capacity of amazement that allows them to perceive the beautiful, the exceptional, and the impressive in everything that surrounds us. That contributes to their happiness, their creativity and motivation and they become capable of finding solutions to problems when they grow up.Teachers at St. Edward School manage to project significant learning in children using different strategies and adapting them to each experience, and thus, they lead our children along the path of curiosity to know, of having the opportunity to acquire knowledge and discover wonderful things.

I agree with the previous review that stated the school has gone downhill due to the current priest and the inability of the principal to stand up to him and advocate for the students. The school has shifted so far away from the way it was under Fr. Breen and is quickly moving toward a conservative extremist type of Catholicism. Last year they cancelled Halloween for the kids and this year they placed anti-Roe v. Wade posters up and down the hallways of the K-3 classrooms. We plan to leave next year if things do not drastically change

This school used to be a beacon. With clergy changes, the care and concern for our children and their overall education and growth has suffered greatly. The current priest seems more concerned with elevating his own status and pushing his 16th century views than with actually keeping the school up and running in accordance with its time accepted standards. What was once a wonderful place to send your children for a well-rounded education is now not worth your time. If you are considering this school for your children, you would be better served to mark this one off your list and continue your search.

They treated my child like a income source. They were more concerned about how much money they could make off him attending than actually caring for him.

Sports are one sided, unless you have a ton of money, you child that is actually good will not stand a chance. The athletic director hold grudges against the children of the parents she had problems with over the years, despite their athletic ability. I have been a coach for years and have never seen great atheletes discriminated against. Yet they cant understand why enrollment is down and students are going to other schools.Just my opinion from the outside looking in. Can't even get enough players to play football, it has nothing with parents not letting them play they don't want to play for coaches who can't win games or even understand how to coach. I may stand alone now, but the lid is about to blow off.

Overall amazing is an understatement. It seems to be more of a family than a school. I was a student many years ago, and when I first walked through the doors to tour for my children Mrs. Guinn said, "welcome home" - it was so surreal, I'd been gone for ages but here it was, this wonderful little school was waiting for our family to come back, and it's like we never left! I feel like the whole school has just hugged our family! Parents go way out of their way to welcome you. We never want to leave! I wish I could have sent my children from day one. I wish I'd known the value. I was under the impression that private education wasn't a true investment (no tangible return) but I was SO wrong. Look at test scores, college acceptance rates, scholarships, and even the little things - community, events, dinners, extra curriculars; and then there's the non-tangibles - smiles on your kids faces, watching them be kids, knowing they love their teacher and their friends, seeing them feel love and acceptance, watching them take pride in their work. It's worth every penny!

It was an awful experience. My sons self esteem has not been the same since attending St.Edwards. He felt like he did not and could not fit in and he no longer wanted to try.

My family has attended St. Eds for decades. I have always loved this school. But the way the school has failed my child is inexcusable and I have to speak out so that other parents are warned of what to expect. If your child is perfect, they'll do great here. If your child has any problems with social skills, with bullying, or with anything else, good luck getting them the help and resources they need. Not only does the school not care, they will do everything they can to keep all problems 'swept under the rug'.

My son began attending St Edward when he was in the second grade. We moved to Nebraska for his 5th & 6th grade years. We love and miss St Edward so much we are moving back this summer so he can finish 7th & 8th grades there with his friends. It is a wonderful school and community. We are blessed to have been a part of it and look forward to being back soon.
