Our family could not be happier with Harding Academy-- It has exceeded our hopes and expectations in every way! The school has rigorous academics, outstanding teachers and support staff, a lovely, thoughtfully designed campus and an exceptional culture of kindness and compassion. The arts and music program is remarkable! My child is thriving, both academically and socially. I attribute this to her teachers and to the community that the Harding Academy staff has cultivated. Parents and families of Harding students are very hands-on and involved in the community in meaningful ways, both in and outside the Harding walls. The school is teaching our children to be curious, thoughtful and engaged in the world around them. Before I became a parent, I was the director of a children's drama and music program. I was always impressed with the kids in my program who were Harding students. They were great artistically-- but even more so, they were kind, caring kids.We are thrilled to be at Harding!

Harding Academy is an incredible school that focuses on each child and family individually, while also fostering a strong sense of community. The teachers are nurturing and highly qualified, and work both with students and parents to ensure that children are growing and learning at a developmentally appropriate rate and that they are enjoying school and learning. One of my favorite parts about Harding is how the culture encourages children being children. They celebrate the beauty of childhood while simultaneously preparing your child for the next chapter of high school (one of the beauties of the PreK-8 model!!!). The parent community is engaged and welcoming, and highly respectful. We have had an incredible experience with our two children thus far, and I have witnessed the positive attributes of the school first hand. We are grateful to be part of the Harding Academy school community, and I would highly recommend it to families looking for just that - a community.

Wow - we could not love Harding more. We have two kids with different interests and skills, and the school does an exceptional job of meeting the needs of both. The school and its community are incredibly warm and nurturing. My kids are academically challenged. They are also very happy and love going to school. The teachers' communication with us as parents has been proactive and thoughtful. It's clear that they see and care about each and every student.

Harding is the perfect school for children PreK-Grade 8. Harding's faculty challenges students while also allowing them to take risks within a safe, nurturing environment. Students are allowed to participate in a variety of opportunities in order to explore their interests and talents. Middle School students step into leadership roles and develop competencies and skills to help them thrive in high school and beyond.

This is our seventh year as Harding parents and we have loved so much of what we have experienced over the years. We feel our children are known and treated as the individuals they are. I've had many interactions with the staff and faculty and everyone overall has been kind, communicative and helpful. We love the sweet community feeling of this school. Our children are being nurtured while also being pushed to try their hardest and be their best. We feel so lucky to be a part of this wonderful school and love the PreK through 8th model. The confidence you see in the eighth graders will set them up wonderfully for high school. I also love how many opportunities there are for parents to be involved and on campus. They also do a great job at facilitating ways for the parents to interact throughout the year.

I believe that Harding is a great school that helps kids learn from each other and grow. I give it an A+ because if you don't, you don't know Harding.

Unfortunately having multiple children attend I sadly give a D. After 4th grade we caught on and made adjustments to address our children's best needs. I strongly encourage a k-12 school who can address any academic challenges if they occur. The likelihood og getting modifications are better because there is a vested interest in the child through graduating. Many boys leave Harding after 6th to go to private schools through 12th grade and girls leave in masses after grade 4. If you stay after 4th be very diligent and make a point to speak to current and former middle school parents to get a real perspective. Talk to at least three. Form your own opinion from there but be informed! I wish we did this early on. The early years were wonderful but we had no idea of the faculty and their ability to present materials in a meaningful way. Even the newer faculty seemed to get indoctrinated early on. Many great middle school teachers in the area both public and private. Again, with the right leadership who is not afraid to make major changes and has a board to support them, this could be a school that has a wait list unmatched. Instead there are many open seats and there is a reason for that.

Harding Academy is an exceptional K-8 school and has been the perfect fit for our children and also our family. They create the critical balance of challenging my boys but doing so in a nurturing and caring environment. The faculty knows the children individually and works with them to meet their needs at each grade level. They are developing children that are self-assured, responsible and well-prepared leaders. The school community is warm and welcoming and, as parents, we are making friends for life. You simply couldn’t ask for a better school for your children to become their best selves, academically and personally.

Harding Academy is an outstanding private elementary school. It strikes a balance between being academically challenging but also nurturing. It offers countless opportunities to develop leadership skills and critical thinking. For a relatively small school, it also offers a wealth of opportunities in the arts, athletics, technology, and after school enrichment programs. The school abides strongly by its Community Code of values. We think the prek through eight experience here is unparalleled in Nashville and we are so impressed with the leadership opportunities offered for middle schoolers. We have been delighted with the faculty. Our children have blossomed, each in their own way, and we can't think of a better school in Nashville.

Harding Academy, an elementary school in Nashville, TN balances a nurturing environment with strong academics. My child's curiosity is encouraged in the homeroom, in special areas, in competitive athletics, and in the strong arts department. The House system, community code, and buddy program create a warm environment where students encourage each other across grade levels. The faculty are incredible and know my child beyond her grade level. We are so fortunate to be at Harding Academy. We know that our child will be prepared for a lifetime of learning in high school, college, and beyond.

Harding is a wonderful school. We chose Harding because we were immediately struck upon visiting at how it felt warm, caring, supportive, and fun. Since our children have been at Harding that initial impression has only been confirmed over and over again. Teachers are loving, responsive, and experienced, and do an excellent job understanding what each child needs and challenging them individually. My children have SO many opportunities to participate in arts, sports, music, theater, science - the depth and variety of experience they are exposed to is just fantastic. I have really enjoyed the Harding community also - generally the group of parents has been low-key, friendly, and unassuming. I couldn't recommend Harding highly enough!

Teachers are warm, caring, and effective. The teaching method is traditional and a needs to be more "hands on". But I don't doubt that my kids are receiving a good education. The parents are very cliquey, though. Not good assimilation for new parents. Hard to fit it as a new family.

Harding Academy is a warm, loving, age-appropriate but academically top-notch school. My two children went there for all 9 years and were extremely well-prepared and adjusted for high school. As of the date of this review, one is about to graduate from high school and the other is in college. The teaching staff works in a team effort and cross-curricular experiences are presented to the students throughout the grade levels. I have found that the teachers were well attuned to the students' welfare.

Could not be more pleased. "Nurturing" is the perfect word for this school. The arts programs here are outstanding and the academics are top notch. Athletics are available (many sports to choose from), but does not seem to be a primary focus of this school and that is OK with us. Public speaking and mentoring of younger students are parts of the curriculum, and they learn leadership from a young age. The teachers -- well, they clearly love their jobs, the school and the students. Students receive individualized attention allowing them to excel.

We loved this school from the moment we set foot on campus. The teachers are amazing. The facilities are amazing. Out child has excelled in ways we never imagined possible. Her self confidence has improved and she loves Harding!

I went to Harding in the late 1970's. There was a huge discipline problem then. Headmaster and teachers allowed unacceptable behavior among students. Hopefully the school has reformed itself reformed itself.
