I am currently an 8th grade student at Nash Central Middle School, and I have a few problems. For one, the school is extremely strict with unrealistic rules and unruly punishments. For example if a student is caught on their phone they are given instant suspension. We are not allowed to be on our phones during lunch and we cannot even play card games after we finish eating. Even with these strict rules many problems are still common. Fighting occurs regularly and my friend has even witnessed people selling and smoking vapes at school. Fortunately there are a few redeeming qualities that make the school bearable. Our new principal Mr. Tedford is trying to give our school more fun activities such as field trips or celebrations but as of yet I have not seen much of that. Many of our teachers are kind and caring. They care about your feelings and if you learned the content taught. They strive to form a relationship with their students and work hard to help them. One of my teachers makes sure to walk around and help other students understand how to answer the problem. On the other hand some teachers don't care much about their students and this makes their class more difficult. I have many other issues with this school but I will end it here. I do not recommend this school as of now but maybe one day things will get better.

Currently, terrible. I don't understand why they have to enforce SO MUCH and expect SO MUCH out of young children. How would they feel if they were in the same position? They always want to be the people who have the say so but when someone wants to disagree, they have no respect for you. The dress code is okay, not the best but compared to other schools, I'll take it. This school has some good and bad things about it but if they staff and/or administrators just listened to the students for one day and let them be free to express minds, it wouldn't be so bad. They online learning system, is honestly embarrassing as not all students learn the same way.

Notice that all of the good reviews are from teachers. They just want to improve the school and make it look better than it really is.
