My child has been at the North Naples branch for a number of years. The school is not too bad at the lower grades. There is a real problem with the teachers covering 4th - 8th. There has been high teacher turnover in some grades and many students have left the school. We were not going to re-enroll this year because of how bad the prior year was. With the promise of a new teacher we decided to give it another year. HUGE mistake, communications is awful. The teachers do not update RenWeb or contact you with issues. The principle is just part time. The staff complains to parents that they are underpaid. The school is definitely underfunded with almost no technology. Class sizes are small but with only one teacher per grade, sometimes one teacher for multiple grades, there is no way to resolve a conflict with a teacher student mismatch. Most of the students at this school do not go on to higher learning.

My daughters safety was neglected at this school. They allowed and thought it was not only funny, but normal kids stuff for a little boy to smack and punch my little girl. Not only that, but he was allowed to spit in her face and made fun of her skin color. This boy was also allowed to make fun of a handicapped little girl with braces on her feet. He also had other complaints put in about him from other parents about he mistreating other children. This boy was so out of control from “his family problems” the school was clearly ignoring that he was having tantrums and was witnessed smacking and punching the teachers, how did the teachers handle it? By putting him in the bathroom and holding the door shut until he would calm down. They refused to make any reports about this child. There is also a teacher at this school that the school allows to do the kids school pictures, then she refuses to give you your child’s pictures I was not the only parent denied their pictures. Needles to say when I tried to reach out to the owner of this school when I didn’t get anywhere with the director Nancy and her teachers his only reply was to tell me my innocent little girl was kicked out of the school and after 4 months they still refuse to give me my child’s pictures and that boy is still going to that school.

I would not encourage anyone to spend the money to send their child to this school, I thought it would be a good fit for my son but I was completely shown otherwise. There is no organization whatsoever or hands on activities with the kids. There is so many more BETTER choices out there for private schools, and Nicaea is not one of them. They told me how they could bring my son back up to his grade level but did nothing to help him achieve that goal. I don't even know how this school is even still up and running.

I am very pleased with the teachers and staff of this school. The small class sizes create an optimal learning environment for my kids who have blossomed since beginning. The staff are very embracing to the children as well as to their families and are very prompt in responding to any questions to help my kids achieve their goals.

This school is an overall very unhealthy environment for children. The standard for teachers is deplorable. The treatment of children is outrageous and borderline abusive. highly recommend NOT going to this school.

My child was verbally and emotionally abused by the new school principle last year. Grades were also changed out of spite.
