The Counselor of this school has no professionalism, instead of helping the children what she does is make them feel guilty. The worst experience that has happened to my child is this school.

If you want your child to be criminalized for being a child then register him/her in this school. Neither the teachers nor the counselor know how to guide the children, instead what they do is traumatize the students. It was a nightmare.

My experience with this school was not pleasant. My son’s first week of pre-k was rough. He’d get on and off the bus beyond the destination times. Not to mention, he was very unhappy as if he had just come home from a long stressful day at work. I did not get any communication until I actually reached out to the teachers and staff to get a better understanding of the issues that may have affected my child for the worse. Now they seem to have put in an effort to prove my son is not being mistreated when I know the staff has made horrible comments about both me & my child but will smile in our face like nothing has happened. My son also became sick the first week and I see the school isn’t taking any precautions for the kids in the mist of the pandemic. I am very disappointed & already can’t wait until the summer to search for better options. The diversity is non existent.

Love the teachers. Needs new principal. Also this school isn't keeping up with the times. As a top performing school in the county. They really don't have what other schools have.

I am not sure about the other negative reviews. I understand everyone has their own experience but ours has been a very positive one. I have two children that attend Vineyards. I feel the teachers and school communicate with me very well. They send notices home, write in their planners or an automated phone call goes out. If I have a question I can call or email them and they will reply back. If I could I can come and eat lunch with my child everyday. As a volunteer, I've gone on field trips as well. They had a nice fall and winter festival. Also, next month the kids will be able to to go to sun and fun lagoon for a family night. Academically my kids feel challenged. I have one that is gifted and the other is not but I feel both of their teachers focus on making sure that they are doing their best. We are very happy here. My advice is, if you are not certain about something contact the teacher first or the office. No school is perfect. We all have to work together, administrators, teachers, staff and ofcourse us the parents.

Wow, such a terrible elementary school. No parent involvement. Wow, you can volunteer to count box tops or help the kindergartner seat lunch. Constant phone calls to sell overpriced magazines and cookies. No Halloween parties? No Halloween parades? No talent show? Parents are not allowed to go on a field trip with their child. There's no communication. They had my son change out of his very nice outfit and put on ill fitting, dirty, ugly clothes for picture day! Instead of 20 phone calls telling us to sell things, give us a reminder call to dress our children in their school uniform! And do not change my son's clothes into old dirty clothes---call the me. I'll come in with his uniform! They get the kids excited about going to sun n fun lagoon. Then they tell us they don't have enough money and will not host a party at the waterpark. What are they learning? What's their schedule? Are we allowed to be involved in our child's education? Our child's bus broke down on their way home. Again, no phone call!! The bus driver, who's been the bus driver for years, disappears. No one knows what happened. Is he okay? Did he retire? Again--no communication! Don't you think our children are affected by not seeing their bus driver anymore?! Please go to a family oriented school and see how's it's run. You don't want parents involved, then get out of education!

Vineyards Elementary has been one of the worst schools my daughter has ever attended. One person in the front office is helpful the others have attitudes, but the most disturbing issue is the teachers and how they do not want to deal with children. My dislike for this school is so strong I avoid going because I am angry. I've never felt like this about a school. I spoke with principle about getting some assistance for my daughter and she never held her end of the bargain up. I wrote letters to the teacher about my daughter's math issues she never responded back in Aug./Sept. 2013, but decided to communicate in December about her weaknesses, how convenient just in time before the FCAT. I even called the district to report the issue and no response for a week, but by the time they responded my daughter already had a tutor. I am highly disappointed because the only one who suffers is my daughter. I have talked to other parents and basically getting the same feedback about this school. I know some who have pulled their children out. The only great thing about this school is Tamara in the front office and the Sportsclub after school program ran by Shonda; looking to pull her out.

Watch out for specific needs teacher assistants! They were rude, ignorant, and very impatient to the little kids.

Two of my children have been or are in this school and even though we moved, I still drive to keep them in this school. The teachers and administration have always done a wonderful job with the students and parents. Could not ask for a better school.

Most of the teachers there are good, with the exception of a few. There are some teachers that intimidate the children and are very rude. Therefor the students are not allowed to speak in class and are even afraid to ask questions. One time my daughter was watching a movie and when it ended the teacher was texting on her phone, ignoring the fact that the movie had finished. It was not until the end of class that the teacher noticed that the movie had ended and then had to rush the students to finish their work. This would not have happened if the teacher had put her phone away, as it should have been, and paid more attention to the class. The ladies in the front office are not helpful at all; their service is horrible! Every time I go in they ignore I am there and stare at each other to see who will help me. When someone finally gets up they seem nice at first, but instantly their attitude changes; becoming very rude, and unwilling to help. They are the first impression of the school and from what I have experienced they are not setting a very good one. They should be more helpful, courteous, and have a better attitude toward the parents and students.
