The faculty and administration genuinely care for your child/family. Success academically and a thoughtful, respectful child with strong values are the norms of this small, wonderful school.

It is a small school but very welcoming. Students behave and hold high standards. The staff, administrators, teachers, and students are all professional.

As a professional with a teaching certificate I was highly dissatisfied with the water down curriculum and lack of resources this school offers. Most staff members are not certified to teach in the subject area they are teaching or not certified at all. Most computers are not functioning or do not have the adequate software to preform or use for academic purposes. The library contains some books but has no organization or catalog system either manual or computer. The staff is very unfriendly and does not work well and resourcefully together. There is a constant turn in staff and principals. This school does not meet academic standards which I would consider to be adequate when compared to public school. As a professional certified teacher and parent I would highly recommend not sending your child here.

The school's small size and faith based mantra creates a loving and safe environment to send a small child. While the academics are not on par with top schools in the Northeast and there are limited sports opportunities for the younger grades, it is still an excellent choice. The school is improving and continues to make strides, it provides an adequate education and my ideals are probably outside the desires of other parents who want a solid Catholic education for their children. The 7th and 8th grade students test well beyond the public school children, several grade levels higher in math and reading, however, these children come from a healthy home life, primarily homogenous upper middle class demographic. The school needs improvement in the areas of arts and foreign language. It would be nice if the children could play a musical instrument and have school plays, and Spanish class more than once per week for younger grades. Although, as the school continues to grows and has more resources, hopefully there will be additional funds for the arts and sports, along with a program for the gifted and talented, so children can reach their full academic potential.

St. Michael's School is wonderful! The faculty and staff are fantastic. I agree with another review- the curriculum is excelled and is able to achieve academic excellence. I am proud and blessed to have both my children attend this school. The environment is caring, safe and inviting for the parents as well as the students.
