My family and I have moved a lot in the past 10 years. Our kids have been to over 7 different schools in several states. We finally settled and our kids go to this school. IT IS BY FAR THE BEST SCHOOL YET! The class sizes are 1/2 the size of what we are used to, the principal is AMAZING and listens to all of our questions or concerns. It does take a little while for the staff to warm up to you, but its a small town and that's just the way it is. DONT TAKE IT PERSONALLY. They are always looking for fresh ideas and people to join their PTO for those who want to be more hands on. My kids were making c's at best in others schools. Now they are on the A/B Honor Roll!! I can see the difference in them and they beg me never to move again. So we bought a house and plan on growing old in the beautiful township of Martins Creek.

The entire Cherokee County school district is deplorable. While there are some truly good teachers, the district is so poor and morale is so low that it can't help but be reflected in the quality of teaching overall. Add to that several of the teachers are close family members of the principal. Favoritism to both students and staff, is rampant throughout the district, but here in this tiny community, even more so.

While there are some good teachers in this school, this is a tiny community where favoritism is rampant. The principal was raised in the community and went to the that school. A good number of the teachers are his relatives. The families from there receive special treatment and the kids are dealt with in the same fashion. Parents who try to help or offer new ideas, are targeted and treated as 'outsiders' by a principal whose narrow-mindedness is threatened by anything different. While the entire school district is deplorable, this school is the bottom of the barrel.

Excellent, attentive teachers who promote student responsibility, build give and take relationships, and create an atmosphere of intent and desire to learn.
