We have 2 daughters that attend WHS one being in 2nd grade & the other being in the integrated preschool program as a peer model. Our 2nd grader struggled in kindergarten and a little in 1st, but with a great 1st & 2nd grade teacher she has thrived & gotten the help she needs to thrive in her education.

We have had 4 children in our family attend Walter Hill, and while the building looks a bit dated, that’d be the only real issue with the school. One of my children has autism and another has ADHD, and the faculty and staff have been outstanding on ensuring that both children has the correct IEP in place and communicate regularly with us any changes needed to the plans. The teachers are engaging, and they seem to love their students as if the students were their own children. We thought about moving at one point; however, staying in this school district was one of the factors that kept us where we’re at. The front office staff is friendly and engaging as has the cafeteria staff when I went to eat lunch with the kids. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to others, and I’m a bit sad that my last two kids have graduated out of the school. Mrs. Heath, the principal, is running an excellent school.

I can’t imagine my children going to school anywhere else! My kids love to go to school and don’t understand why friends at other schools don’t. The teachers and principal are top notch!

Aweful. There is teacher on student bullying going on here and the principal supports it by not acknowledging that it’s happening and defends the 4th grade teachers actions against students.

They put on a good front to parents until an issue needs to be addressed.

We moved to Walter Hill and didn't know what to expect as far as schooling. The school is very humble in appearance, but it is PHENOMENAL. Our son has an IEP, and everyone puts the most care into him. They listen to our concerns, and he is doing great! This is our second year at Walter Hill, and we are so pleased. Mrs. Campbell is such a great principal, and all of the teachers feel like family. The best school our son has been in, and this will be his fourth school.

We have been a part of the Walter Hill family pre-K through fourth grade and it saddens me that this upcoming year will be my last as a Walter Hill parent. I love this school and am so grateful we had the opportunity to be a part of this family.

My daughter was a student at WalterHill from kindergarten through 5th gradeWe wanted badly to have a good experience and tried to but bullying is allowed. The principal will not acknowledge that a problem exists! She is very worried about how a bad mark will look against her school and does not want to fill out the proper paperwork for bullying so it goes on. And if you work there your child is allowed to run around and treat others badly. We did have some great teachers but the other issues outweighed the good.
